My week 4 is gonna be bad. I ate (reasonably) healthy during my mini-vacation/wedding celebrations and I tracked most of my food, but as for the rest...not so much. I got back on the bandwagon yesterday and will pick up from there. As I start putting things in place for the days I was "off" my week 4 chart will fill in. Hopefully before you total things up Mrs. Lirakis!

Skinnyrobin, I am so glad to hear you are having such great success! I know some people do the challenge on their own without posting and that's totally ok!! I enjoy putting the challenges out there for people to either record together here or do on their own, whatever works for them! I am so glad it's helping you.

I have had two knee surgeries (no replacement yet, but am anticipating it at some point) so know how you feel about jumping jacks, I just started incorporating real jumping jacks into my routine about a year ago, and some days I cant do the real ones, some days I can...but I am glad the modified ones are working for you! Keep up the great work.

Hi Krystal! Sorry for not posting till today, but I am making great progress as of today...the scale finally moved for the first time since June 1!!! emoticon I've been doing everything except the jumping jacks, but I'm going to start today and for the rest of the challenge. I'll be doing the modified because of my knee replacement. I didn't think I could even do those, but I watched the video clip and they look harmless. I've upped my walking so much in the last 2 weeks and am doing really good. I walked a hilly 5 mile trek yesterday and I want to include this route once a week from now on. It takes 105 mins. to complete. Really BIG, long hills...3 of them. I'm eating way over the required 3 freggies and I'm having at least 7-9 every day. I've been doing that since Feb. 1 so no biggie there. I've had to up my protein intake and lower my good carbs a little. My fats are right where they need to be and so are my sugars, fiber , and sodium. When I added more protein, my calories went into the proper range for my program. I wasn't getting enough!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon With all these tweeks and this great challenge, the scale moved again... emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon Robin

Hello Team!

I've got about 4 week 2 results from team members, looking for others to post, hopefully by Monday so I can do week 2 overall results for everyone before I head to VT this week for my wedding.

That being said, I won't be posting week 3 results until NEXT TUESDAY so you'll have some time to catch up if needed over the weekend :-)

Fisher011 yes, any exercise you do will count :) if you can do the modified jumping jacks you are all set :) if you can't, try just moving your arms and legs in the movement of jumping jacks at your own pace.

For members new to our challenge, here are some examples of how to record your daily totals
This example shows how to record just what you did:

Week 1: Drink 6+Cups of water
1. Jumps - 10, 30mins, Tracked, Range, Freggies, Water -- 30pts
2. Jumps - 10, 10mins, Tracked, Water -- 20pts
On day two, this example shows I didn't stay in range or eat 3+ freggies

This example shows each category, and you record Y or N
Week 1: Drink 6+Cups of water
1. Jumps - Y(10), Fitness Minutes Y(30mins) Tracked (Y) Range (Y) Freggies (Y) Water (Y)
2. Jumps - N, Fitness Minutes Y (10mins) Tracked (N) Range (N) Freggies (Y) Water (Y)

There are certainly plenty of ways to record, this just helps to give you an idea

Can you believe it's already the end of May?! That means it's time for a new challenge!!

Jumping in June's primary aspect of the challenge is JUMPING (which can of course be modified)
This can include jumping jacks, jump rope, high jumps, etc. Anything that gets you off the floor.

IF you physically cannot jump, try this modification of jumping jacks:

So, Our Challenge:
-We're going to do combined fitness minutes this month along with combined jumps.
-Once I see how many people sign up for the challenge, I will post goals for how many jumps we should get and how many fitness minutes we should get

FITNESS
10 Jumps per day - post how many you actually do
Keep track of your fitness minutes (minimum is 10minutes)

NUTRITION
Track your food
Stay in your nutrition range
Eat 3+ freggies each day

EX CHALLENGE
Week 1 (Sat 6/1-Fri 6/7): Drink 6+ cups of water each day
Week 2 (Sat 6/8-Fr 6/14): Read for 10mins each day
Week 3 (Sat 6/15-Fri 6/21): Get outside for 10mins each day
Week 4/5 (Sat 6/22-Sun 6/30): Pick your own challenge

You have the opportunity to earn 30 points each day (each action is worth 5 points)
