I've been averaging 100+ points a day. Not always on weekends, though. We've taken a couple of trips, so I've lost some time there too. I have to get up early to get in the articles, etc because I'm just so busy with the garden, house, etc.

Great job on the 3 lbs Cindy! Your hard work is paying off:)

I've been averaging 90 to 105 points a day every day since the last week of May. I had to cram a weeks worth of work at work into 2 days and trust me, it about did me in!! LOL Now that I'm on summer break (vacation) I'm working hard around the house trying to get this place in shape and get some started projects finally completed. All this gardening and working on projects is really beginning to pay off. I've lost 3 pounds and I'm working hard at keeping it all off too!

Nancy, you are doing GREAT!! emoticon You are my inspiration! One of these days, life will settle down and I think I might be able to get there too! One month of work left for this school year and then I'll be on vacation from June 1st until July 15th. My goal is to get the house in order and get my weight reduced. I won't have any excuse to exercise. Well, other than it's too hot, too humid, too,,,,,,LOL I AM determined tho.

My family is doing well. Last week was REALLY rough on everyone. It seems that my nephew died of an aortic aneurysm and it seems that this runs in the family, probably. My paternal grandfather had one (but his was caught and operated on), my dad died suddenly and now they say it very well could have been an aneurysm and not a massive coronary. He was cremated with no autopsy done so we'll never know for sure. And now my nephew. My two kids (DD 31 and DS almost 19) and I are going to get checked out. DD graduates from RN school on May 8th so I'm going to bug her to get her's done. Then DS and I will go the first of June.

I was dreading Saturday and the funeral so bad that I about made myself ill. Just the thought of seeing them and not really knowing what to say. So I didn't say anything. I just hugged each of them and held them and let them talk as they wanted to. We did have some laughs when we brought up memories of funny things that Jimmy had said or done or pranks he had played.

Now I'm just trying to get my butt in gear and get back on track. My motivation has kind of slipped away (or taken a leave of absence!) for the moment but I'm working on it. Thank you for asking. I'm trying to come up with some stuff for May. I'll write about it later.

Take care,
Cindy

Cindy, I'm so sorry about your nephew. Our son had an aortic aneursym too. He had open heart surgery last year on April 15. He's now 31 and doing fine. This was his 3rd open heart surgery. We feel so blessed to have him still with us. He's given us a wonderful daughter in law and two precious grandsons.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Love,

Well I got my exercise in early and made it to 100 and it's only 2 PM. WhooHoo on that one. But some sad news came this morning.

My 40 year old nephew died very early this morning of an aortic aneurysm. My bother and sister in law are taking it as any parents would,,,,,hard. I'm not sure but what I will have to make a trip to Georgia to spend a little time with them and grieve. It was a terrible shock to everyone. Everyone keep up the good work. I'll be back.

Nancy, that's a great streak you have going there. Just do what you have to do tomorrow and see how close you can come. Then hit it again on Wednesday. I made it over 100 on Saturday and Sunday. I was SO busy both of those days, cleaning and gardening and, and, and PHEW! Now today I'm back hovering around 80. I swear that tomorrow morning I'm going to get my exercise in first thing in the morning. This report I'm working on sucks me in when I get to work and just chains me to my desk for the day!! ARGH! I will be SO glad when it's all done.

Well, I did it. Yesterday and today were very hard, but I've actually made over 100 for 8 consecutive days. It would be easier if the spark wheel would cooperate and stop sliding by the high numbers- grrr.

I'm not sure if I'll pull it off tomorrow. I need a break and have to do some shopping in the morning, so unless the wheel is kind to me, this will most likely be the end of my streak.

We'll see...

Nancy, that is great!! I wanna be like you!! Unfortunately for me today I didn't do so hot. I think I'll make it up to 70. Dang. I'm going to change my schedule up some and start doing my exercises first thing in the morning after I get up so I get them out of the way and get those points racked up and the exercise will start my day off on the right foot. I think, I hope.

Well I made it to 80 today. I hate having to do so much paperwork. It leaves me mentally exhausted and with no energy to get the exercise done!! Oh well, I'm almost done with this stuff and hopefully it won't be as hard or take as long next spring because of all the prep work and extra work I'm doing this spring. How did everyone else do today??

Wow Nancy!! Good job! emoticon I think that is a great goal. I'm trying so hard to be more active and get walking in as well as regular exercising and strength training. Yesterday I did hit 89 finally before I collapsed. I think I was asleep when my head hit the pillow! There is a bit of drama going on at work right now and it's just amazing how much that saps your energy. Good luck today. I'm off to try and get some strength training in before showering and off to work today.

I got 118 today and 106 yesterday. I have hit over 100 for the past 3 days, with no help from the spark wheel, thank you - lol.

I've just been really active. I've been doing my daily running plus riding my bike, so it's helping. Tomorrow is a busy day, we'll see what happens. Saturday will be a 30 day anniversary for me, so if I'll get 25 points right off the bat then. I'm trying to see if I can make a solid week of over 100's.

Well I haven't done so well the past couple of days. 75 days yesterday and 70 so far for today. I'm going to try and get some more in, but the last couple of days at work have been a little wild and I just don't know if I have the energy. But I'm going to push myself out of this chair and give it a try.

I did force myself to get up a few minutes ago and go do some strength work. It wasn't what I wanted to do,,,,I wanted to take a nap, but now I feel better after having done it.

Yesterday I racked up 98 points. Today I haven't put too many in. Been too busy chasing around the grandson and trying to Easter lunch ready. Now I'm busy cleaning up and going to put the Easter stuff away for another year. Then I have to clean up the bedroom now that DGS has left and gone to other GP's house with his dad. I'm hoping that the afternoon is long enough and I have energy enough to get out this afternoon and do some gardening! I'll report back later to give my total for today.

Well I made all the way to 95 points yesterday and then was overcome with a terrible headache! Gave up after dinner and cleaning up the kitchen (dh did most of it for me)and took some meds then toddled off to bed. Feel MUCH better today. So hopefully I'll get more in. today. DS is going to vacuum and dust the house for me today and scrub the kitchen and bathroom floors for me because DGS is coming first thing Sat. morning to spend the weekend with us. So those jobs will be done and I won't have to do them! (Doing the happy dance!!!) Maybe I'll get to work in the garden and get a few other things done, if DGS allows it! LOL

Have a great Friday.

I got 85. I have to fold some laundry, but if I get ambitious enough, I'll try to get in some strength training and a few more minutes of cardio, but don't count on it!

I'm not online much on the weekends, so I probably won't get 100 again until Monday.

Well dang, I've only made it to 70 points today. Yesterday and today at work I've been stuck at my desk working on the teachers book orders and getting things organized for next book buy backs and next fall. So I wasn't able to do much for exercising. And now that I'm home, I'm mentally exhausted and ready for bed!! Barely got dinner done and kitchen cleaned up. LOL. You all are doing really well tho! I'm so proud of you. I've been trying to get extra points from doing some Cardio and some weight training each day but haven't been able to do that lately. Oh well, tomorrow is another day! Have a great evening everyone.

Only a 5 on the log in wheel today, but I got an extra 25 points for connecting my spark and facebook. So, I ended up with a whopping 131 points. I do think that's a record for me. I also got a new trophy. 9,927 points to the next one!

Way to go! I'm finding it harder to get to 100 because I've already went through all of the stages. But, today I got 10 points for logging in and another 10 for making it to the next 100 posts. I got 105! Tomorrow will be harder to get up there, unless I get a big number on the wheel..

Only 58 points until my next trophy!

I did it! I got 100 points today. What really helped was the 25 points I got from moving from stage 1 to stage 2, officially. I have been doing all the stage 2 stuff from the very beginning, and never noticed that I could get points from it! D'oh!

Yesterday I made it to 82 points and then ran out of steam. Literally. I had planned to try and get some more exercise in after cleaning up the kitchen from dinner and then take a nice relaxing hot shower before bed. Instead, I sat down for a minute after dinner while waiting for my son to finish up his dinner and promptly started nodding off!! DH tapped me on the arm and said "Honey, why don't you go to bed instead of falling asleep in your chair!" So I did. I just finished my 2nd week in a row of working 6 out of 7 days. Plus had my 16 month old grandson Saturday after work and he spent the night with us. Which meant a lack of sleep for hubbie and I cause a thunderstorm rolled in and woke Clay up. He was none too happy so crawled in bed with us. Anywho, today is another day. I'll keep working on and striving towards that 100 point per day goal. Hopefully the extra work will start showing, in my house and in my body (with some more weight loss!)!!!

I made 100! Today I got a 10 on the wheel, so I'm off to a good start. I do have my granddaughters here, so hopefully I can get my cardio in.

I only need 9 more, so I'll get it today. I'm watching my posts so that I don't make it quite to the next 100 today and can save that for tomorrow - lol.

I feel the same Mongo2six. Today was so busy at work and I don't usually work on Saturday's but it was Alumni weekend. Got in lots of walking today and yesterday, all over campus several times! I did manage to make it up to 78 today and could get more if I'd do some posting and huddling but I can hardly keep my eyes open. We have DGS 17 months old staying with us tonight so his mother can get in some extra studying for her nursing board exams. Clay is already in bed and I'm sure that he'll be up way too early for me in the morning. So have a great evening everyone and I'll see you all tomorrow.

I'm at 91. I could do my strength exercises and get another 100 plus day, but it's 9 p.m. and I'm too tired. I have church tomorrow, so I'm heading off to bed soon. Will try tomorrow, but unless I get a huge number on the wheel, Sundays usually aren't a high day for my spark points.

Yesterday was a REALLY busy day at work but I did make it to 94. I would have more points if I had been able to huddle and post but I was too darn exhausted. I'm off now to try and finish up today's. Will be back to report on it.

Remember that you do have a spot to put "user entered" and you might want to use those if you feel that your doing more.

Now to report on mine for today. Well I made it all the way to 97 points. ARGH! So close and yet so far away!! Guess I'll have to see if I have any energy left to do some other exercise so I can maybe squeeze out those last 3 points.

Yes, I'll look at other tracking sites as well. Spark doesn't think I burn as many calories as some of the others. If I ride my bike for an hour, spark counts it as 165 calories - I have to be burning more than that! So, I track my minutes on spark, but do look to other sites for my calories. I need a heart rate monitor to be sure.

There is heavy cleaning if you click on browse, home activities under add cardio. I also received one one group a list of activities and their calorie amounts. I'm sure it's not real accurate because it doesn't tell me anywhere any specifics about the person, such as height or weight or age. Now you can go to www.caloriesperhour.com/index_burn.p
hp
and put in your activity and if I remember right, height and weight and it will tell you how many calories you burn for so many minutes. I created a little word document with some of these in there. I have a 15 month old darling grandson that we keep sometimes for his parents and let me tell you I get LOTS of cardio in chasing that boy around.

Here are some examples from my list:

Bathing a dog - 15 minutes is 56 calories burned
Wrapping gifts or making crafts - 30 minutes is 48 calories burned
Changing bed linens - 15 minutes is 40 calories burned
Clearing dishes from the table - 5 minutes is 13 calories burned
Washing dishes by hand - 15 minutes is 37 calories burned
Child Care - walking/running 60 minutes is 336 calories burned.

My grandson has JUST learned to walk so he is ALL OVER this house when he comes. Someone has to be with him all the time to make sure he doesn't get into things or fall and hurt himself. So it's LOTS of exercise. I also found, at one time, playing with children, but can't locate it right now. I'll post some more later if I can.

Cindy, I meant to ask you - you mentioned that we could log in our house cleaning as cardio. What was that under? I did a search on the Fitness Tracker and I only found heavy cleaning. I did do some spring cleaning yesterday, but didn't work up a sweat or get my heart rate up too high, so I wasn't sure if I could log it under that or not. I use Farm Work for when I clean stalls, etc. but not sure about logging in my housework. What do you think?

Well I made it all the way to 89 yesterday inspite of not being able to get in any extra exercises. Today I'm starting out the day earlier with the exercises and plan on jumping onto spark points on and off all day to record things. Yesterday I just couldn't get it all recorded so had to finish putting it in today. I'm off to do some weight training right now. I'll report back later on how I do today. Good luck everyone!

In spite of my 1 on the wheel, I did get 104. It was hard to get it all in. I'm going to try it again today. I did get a 3 on the wheel today, biggest I've seen in a week. Like I said, the wheel hates me!

I just got to reading this now, so a little late in the day to give it a shot. I, too, usually get 1 or 2 on the wheel. I'll give it a shot tomorrow though.

I'm on. I didn't start out well, since the Spark Wheel hates me and keeps giving me a 1, but I think I can do it. I usually do an hour of cardio each day, so if I clean the chicken coop or something in addition to it and count that - I can probably get pretty close.
