I really loved the consecutive workout challenge idea :) Unfortunately I was injured while it was going on and was unable to participate. :( Are we going to do something like that again?

I am hoping to get back where I left off Mid September tonight.. It has been a LONG 2-3 weeks without ZWOW and I can already feel myself hating the CARDIO and gym its no wonder I never lasted working out for very long. I may have to modify and there will be no single leg squats but its time!

I had a really hard time with those prisoner get ups.

I completed ZWOW 23 tonight. I did not like this one at all. Which means it is a wonderful workout. My legs were screaming, my arms were screaming. As usual modiifed the burpees.

I completed ZWOW 22 tonight. I am a little behind on my videos. Has a crazy week and just could not get them in.

Tonight I did pretty well. Had to quit 3/4 of the way through the RDL Squats as my hamstring start to burn and hurt. Figured I didn't want to push it and end up injuring myself to where I can't exercise.

I couldn't do the chair push ups either, the chair I have to use is too narrow and not straight edged. Started to kill my wrist. I just substituted regular knee push ups.

Wow team!!!! This is it. The final week of the ZWOW 1-30 challenge.

We should all be really proud of ourselves. This was a huge challenge. No matter where you are at in your video sequence... be proud that you are doing the videos.

My son saw me doing a video and he jumped in to join me. He lasted two burpees before he gave up stating "it is too hard". hahahah

Ok... completed ZWOW 21. I was unable to do the handstand, but I did the attempted jump. Never made it up to the wall, but my thighs felt the attempt. heheh

Nice job on your time. I understand the time thing. I don't usually get to my ZWOW workout until around 10pm at night. Need to try to fit them in earlier.. just not sure how. Maybe when my son is doing is 30 min of require homework reading, I can do my ZWOW... hmm.. now that might work!

Awesome workout, KIWISMOM95! Wow, sweat level 8!

Last night (Sep 19), I did ZWOW #20 but only 1 round, got 6:38 - if I did 3 rounds, I might still get under 20-min, hopefully! It's harder for me to do full rounds during workdays, felt like time is running away from me, haha.

I'm feeling great, more able to do the workouts and less afraid (hehe) though also feel need longer sleep (no more 5hrs sleep for me, need at least 6.5!) If I've done the videos before, I think I did much better for 2nd time :D

Yesterday (Sep 17), I did ZWOW #19 but just 2 rounds (my 1st time doing the workout), got 17:12. I wanted to finish the 5 rounds but it was getting dark and I didn't to continue my workout into night (might interrupt my sleep). Can't wait to do #20 this afternoon!

WOW!!!! Week 5... already??????

How is everyone feeling? Do you notice yourself getting stronger? Are you more able to do the videos? Not getting as nauseous? No ringing in the ears??? Yes these are all the things I felt when I did my first ZWOW.

Now at week 5, I get none of the above and find I am able to do some of the exercises without modification. However, I still modify a majority of them. That's ok though. It is all about the journey and the progress.

Hope you knee is feeling better soon. I know how easily an injury can derail your motivation and success.

It must have been something with this weekend. I didn't exercise at all this weekend. BAD ME!

Don't worry about finishing at the end of the month. That is just a ballpark guideline. My goal is for everyone to finish through 30. You will be with several other team members who joined the challenge after it had already begun. This can also be an open ended challenge for anyone to start at anytime.

So therefore, you are not behind. You are right where you should be. :)

Let us know what the doc says. We are here cheering you on.

just an update- I am totally bummed I made a great catch-up week last week but this weekend killed me.. My knee was soo sore I couldnt do anything and Saturday I was just plan lazy! So I realized I am not going to finish this challenge at the end of the month but I will still finish it. I am going to do my best to keep going this week, but I am going to see the doctor today about my knee so we will see what he says.

But I am totally disapointed in my weekend- I cannot have weekends like I did!

This morning (sept 16), I did ZWOW #18 in 40:45. Actually, i split those 5 rounds into 3 and 2 rounds coz in the middle, was dragged by mom to watch something funny in internet and need to prepare cats breakfast. Honestly, i welcome the break as i like Time Workout less, much prefer AMRAP, hehe.

YEAH FAITHINSN!!!! That is so awesome. You are doing fabulous.

Tonight I got in 50 min of strength training, 10 min of cardio warm up and ZWOW #19,

Wow!!! The Russian twists.. I am going to fill this one tomorrow.

I pretty much modified everything but the Russian twists and clean squats. But at least tonight I completed all the rounds. :)

This morning (Sep 15), i did zwow #17 and i've improved my result from last time :D previously, I got 2 rounds + wall walk + wall lunges + plank wall touches 4 reps. Today, i got 3 rounds + wall walks + wall lunges + plank wall touches 13 reps.

You can do it... Mine went much better last night as I really concentrated on performing the exercises right and not trying to rush expect the burpess I do those as fast as possible!

So last night I did Zwow 15- Catching up slowly but surely. I did it in 19:35 and used 10lb weights I actually liked this workout a lot I really took my time on the 1 leg squats and squat and press to make sure to squeeze my booty and keep my back straight.

Planning on 16-18 this weeked would be awesome to do 2 on Saturday but we shall see I have a wedding tonight.

hahah must be something in the water CODILYNN2... I did ZWOW #18 tonight. As you can see I didn't say completed this time. Sadly I only made it 4 rounds. This one killed me. I just didn't have the drive tonight to fight through the rounds. It has been a rough and busy week and i have not been feeling well this week at all. Really really tired.

I am determined to do better tomorrow though.

Did 14 last night but SLACKER ALERT!!!

I didnt do the burpees!

I dont know I just wasnt 100% into the workout like I normally am I was going through the motions of it but I didnt push myself but my heart was racing and I was dying- even on my run I couldnt make it the 2.5 that I normally run I only did 2 miles I was just wiped out- Thank you TOM

I loved that wall workout last time I did it... I was like oo this looks fun then got my butt kicked :)

Last night I finally got back into the challenge and completed ZWOW 13
My goal for this was to really to kick Z's butt on the bunny hops I watched her struggle during those in the video and really wanted to make sure I got over 20 hops each set.

On to 14 tonight!

@Faithinsn.... so awesome! Very excited and proud of you. Way to go!

OK... I completed ZWOW 17 tonight. Guess what? I was actually able to do the wall crawl. When I first saw the video, I thought "she is crazy". There is no way I am going to be able to do a handstand and walk my feet up the wall. Well... drum roll... I did it. No modifications!

I even did the lunges. Just not as deep. I found I can do the lunges as long as I don't go so deep that it causes me to put weight on the balls of my feet. I still had to modify the plank. too much pressure on my feet.

But I am making progress!!!! YEAH


How did everyone do on their video challenges? I love hearing your progress. Thanks everyone for joining me in this challenge.

Yesterday, I completed ZWOW #16, WooHoo! I got 3 rounds and 1 rep for Renegade Rows. I've did this last time so this time I tried to use heavier weight for Lunges and Sumo Deadlift, so proud of myself :D

Completed ZWOW #15.

Since I can't do lunges for medical reasons, I did a search on Google for alternative. They recommend using an aerobic step since the step up movement closely resembles the lunge muscle movements. So I have been doing that and it is working out really well.

Woo Hoo!!!!! I got my warrior on tonight. I really wanted/needed to catch up on my ZWOWs as I missed a couple of workout days. So tonight I did ZWOW 14 & 15 back to back. I am sweating so bad I am afraid I might short circuit my keyboard.

It is a good thing I was working out alone. I was sweating so bad that during the v-ups. While I was laying down on my rubber yoga mat every time I brought my legs up it sounded like I was...well... sounded like I was laying down on a woopie cushion.

So I am now ready to take on week 4.

Yeah!!! I completed ZWOW 13. I am dripping sweat like a full on shower. Yikes.

I modified as follows:

Instead of two legged bunny hops, I did one legged hops side to side. Still burned like crazy, but did not cause my feet to hurt.

I modified the burpee hops also, I alternated rounds of knee push ups and stair stepper. One round I did all push ups, when the whistle blew I did a stair stepper until the whistle blew. This eliminated the hopping.

I am feeling this one big time.:)

You did fabulous Lauren. The fact that you did it without modification is awesome. I would rather take longer and complete without modification that modify and complete in less time. Unfortunately I am not strong enough yet to do the exercises without modification. And sadly I think due to medical limitations, there may just be some exercises I will never be able to do without modification. Oh well...

Just keep on keepin' on and you will be back to your old times (and beyond) before you know it. Take it slow so that you don't relapse your injuries.

Did ZWOW #1 yesterday in (drum roll please)...43 mins!?!?!? I was so embarrassed by my time because it's 13 mins slower than the last time I did it, but then I remembered that I'm still recovering from an injury and have lost some of my fitness over the last couple of months I've had to take it easy.

I actually didn't modify anything! I just did it really slow lol

I did ZWOW #2 today and my time was almost 25 mins. Slow again, but I just have to be patient with the healing process. I have to get my strength up first, and THEN I can focus on improving my time ;)

Whew...finished ZWOW #12. 5 1/2 rounds.

However, I am noticing that I am going to have to eliminate jumping. My knees and feet are killing me. So for this one, I did one leg low jacks, added arms and doubled the reps.

For the push ups, again I did them on my knees

For the pistol squats, I actually lowered myself to a chair then back up using the single leg. I found this allowed me to go lower than if I just tried to do the pistol squat only holding onto a chair.

Way to go! You will be on your toes before the end maybe not all but you can do it!

I did 5 rounds of Zwow 11 plus 10 Mule Kicks. Followed it up with situps, tricep dips and some planks.

Then Brian got home and I suggested we workout together so we did the new Lean Lovers Body Rock only 2 time through but that was killer! Hopefully we will do workouts 3 times a week together- Thats my sneaky plan anyway.

Tonight I completed ZWOW #11. I officially do not like donkey kicks.

I was able to get 6 rounds. I modified the donkey kicks by doing all the kicks, then all the jumps as my feet cannot handle burpee style exercises.

My donkey kicks weren't very high either. But at least I got my feet off the ground. heheh

My sumo push ups were on my knees. Still have not made it to my toes yet.

That Bosu is an awesome substitution, plus it is making you stabilize your core more so they are probably even better! Way to go

I did 9 Friday after my run and got in 4 full and 5 of the first exercise- I am drawing a blank now.

and I FINALLY got Brian to do a workout with me. I just randomly suggested it and he was like sure what are we doing so I showed him Zwow 10 and we did it in the living room. I probably could of gotten 3 rounds but I was slowing down to now get too far ahead of Brian.. We did 2 full rounds and I got in 100 High Knees and 6 Reptile Burpees.

On to Week 3 already tomorrow- I am hoping to get to the gym too!

I did ZWOW #9. I was able to complete 4 rounds. YEAH!!!!

I think I found my new best friend. The Bosu. I did the crab on it. Really helped. I am not strong enough yet to hold myself up while doing the crab. But by sitting on top of the Bosu, it give me some added intensity over keeping my bottom on the ground. I also used it for the Pushups. I am not able to do push ups on my toes due to issues with my feet. But by putting my knees on the bosu, I was able to increase my intensity for push ups without hurting my knees or feet.

Yeah.

as for core strength Plank are definately the best exercise, but you dont need to do all the flrilly stuff BR and Z add. I think you need need to have your basic plank solid and a good core built before you can start adding the knee kick and everything else. I just came to this decision last night when I relized my planks were kind of sucking!

But otherwise next workout put the concentration into your core and you will see you are working it with EVERY move!

I didnt get 9 done last night planning on doing it today and 10 tomorrow.

Sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather Sunshine. Hope you are feeling better very soon.

Tonight I did ZWOW #8. Did she really mean 6 rounds. OMG!!! I completed it in 13:48. I am not sure I accurately counted my round or reps. I kept getting lost in my counts so error on the side of less and did extra reps to make sure I get them all in.

emoticon Oy was I sore when I did two back to back. I was going to do some yoga today to help loosen my muscles. Turns out I am not feeling to well. My throat is really sore. I hope I don't get sick before the long weekend.

emoticon So I did number 9 today! not bad but I am really lacking energy due to being sick. I went at my own pace. Those Crab touch toes are really hard to do. My bum keeps sinking to the ground in btw. I have come to the conclusion that my core is gone and I am really weak. How do I build up my core muscles again.

Sunshine you are a WARRIOR!!!! Dam back to back!! I was dying after each one of those.

Like seriously last night after 8 I laid on the floor haha.

I am suffering from second day soreness today- My calfs are sore so I believe that is from the skipping on 7 and OHH my sides I have a feeling that is a mix of Love bends and side planks!!

Makes me want to do side planks everyday.

Well I did 8 last night in 16:07 - Favorite was the dragon lunges

Physical therapy appointment for my ankle today! Hopefully I get more specific instructions and good news! I'm hoping I can finally start this challenge by next week! :) I'll be about 2 weeks behind everyone else, but better late than never! :D

Dang that sounds like the line here to get your $1 Burrito at Pancheros. Hehe.. I did not do this by the way!

I busted out ZWOW 7 in 13:28 I was kind of shocked but I just kept going and going and going. I will say that my skipping needs improvement my arms were soo tired at that part.

Didn't get a chance to workout tonight. I had plans however... the best laid plan...

I went to a book signing with my mom and figured I would be home by 9pm since we got there at 6:15. Well, I did not get home until after 10pm. After standing for more than 4 hours, I am ready for bed.
