Do you think ahead regarding your health? I know I sometimes let things go when I should be seeing a Doctor, partially because I'm afraid of what the Doctor might find or what the Doctor might make me do... but you know what? Sometimes it's better to stay ahead of the pain, ahead of the problems, ahead of the worry... and not have to worry as much about stress! I know I feel better knowing when I'm in better health!
Keeping a little ahead of conditions is one of the secrets of staying healthy! As the saying goes..."The time to repair your roof is when the sun is shining". The trick is to try to do things before they need to be done. It's harder on your body when you don't exercise for years and then expect your body to perform at it's peak! I personally know that it's hard to get back into shape once you've let yourself go! The muscles ache, the bones creek, well lets face it... the body just doesn't want to exercise any more! At this point, you really don't want to start anything... you just want to sit back and relax to help ease your strains of the day!... This is the point where your life force starts draining your energy! I know... I've been there!
This is a worrisome time for all of us! All of our good intentions and Shoulda Coulda Woulda's just can't keep up with the demands of the body! Most people would slack off and be content to do nothing... but this is the worse thing you could do! Let your advance worrying become advance thinking and planning. The time to plan is right now... It's time to work your body back into shape! Walk a little bit, easy exercises to keep you limber, stretching... It's going to take time to get back to a more youthful feeling but it is possible!
You'll gain the advantage in any situation through time! You'll be able to think ahead at how you want to better your situation and work towards your goals. You'll rest assured knowing that you're working towards a healthier you rather than letting your life pass you by!
Movement, big or small, is the key to a healthier you. Whether you walk, bike, swim, jog, swing, run with the kids, exercise, walk the dog, hoola hoop, hack i-sac, play bocci ball, horseshoes, your life will improve daily because your muscles will feel better!
When would be the best time to start you ask??? Now would be good! Don't leave exercising for another day! Put 1 foot in front of the other and go for it! Even people in a wheelchair can enjoy a little exercise if it's approved by the doctor... if not... just get outside and enjoy life!
We can all do this... We deserve a better life! Why suffer in pain when a little exercise will help you overcome some of the pain!... Think about that! Wouldn't it be nice to be pain free??
How would you feel knowing that because you did a little walk or a little stretch each day that your pain could just start to vanish! You could enjoy the things that you used to do with little or no pain? I know the change in me is great! I do have a little bit of pain but for the most part I can enjoy my life the way I used to! All it takes is exercise and time!
