I have to agree. I still haven't seen anything from Season 4, but this particular ep from season 3 is one of my all-time favorites! I love to see the Doctor out there doing his thing, but it was nice to see the story from someone elses viewpoint as well.

LOL the funny part is when she asks how he knows what she's going to say and he tells her to look to the side and the guy's like, "I haven't been able to figure that one out, what he means by that!" And she's like, "He's talking about you! What are you writing??" LOL! I actually have pins on my bag that say stuff like Don't Blink and The Angels Have the Phone Box. :)

I just like the concept of her talking to him through time with the DVD and her friend "recording" her bits.

(paraphrasing)
Let me wrap my head around this. You are there in 1969 having the conversation we're still having in 2008.
Wibbly wobbly timely wimely stuff....

Oh yeah. That's sums it up.

Supposedly the Weeping Angels will show up again in this upcoming season with Eleven. :) I'm interested to see what the Moff will do with them.

One of my favourite episodes of all time. Love the concept of a villain who 'kills' you by displacing you in time and making you live your life. Very unique, and the statues are certainly creepy. And the DVD bits were such a unique idea. Well written, and suspenseful.

ROFL! This one didn't do a thing to my bf when I made him sit down to watch it. But my friend, who actually introduced me to DW, can't watch this one NOR Midnight. I'd need to agree to do something for her before she'd give in, LOL!

This one completely freaked out my husband, who hates horror movies and thrillers. If there was room behind our sofa and not a wall, he would have been like a little kid hiding from Daleks. :)

I JUST saw this again yesterday (I was working out to it and started to go through all the episodes from beginning again) and it STILL scared the bejeezus out of me! Every time the kid turned around to see an angel before him I freaked. LOL! I'd completely forgotten why this episode had scared me.

This is one of my favorites, by far! I didn't care at all that it was a"Doctor-light" episode, it's just so well written and acted, it took my breath away - literally at times! I do love the slightly scary episodes, and I've love everything by Stephen Moffet so far. Can't wait to see what he does when he's in full control.

I loved this episode! My brother liked it so much, I'm getting him a t-shirt for his birthday that says "the angles have the phone box"! :)

My guy isn't a fan of DW (not the way I am, lol) but I made him watch Blink because it really displayed a lot of what I like about the show. He actually enjoyed the episode and now we crack jokes when we see statues of angels while driving. emoticon

This is the best I've seen in a loooong time. I think the thing that draws me to Stephen Moffat's episodes is a strong sense of humanity. This was a brilliant DW adventure, and it didn't even really involve the Doctor. And it didn't matter. The fact was the even Billy, who had... what? Three scenes? was so likeably and strongly written and played that I cared about him. I actually got emotionally involved in all the tiny vignettes of life and love in the short space of time given to us.

High points on all cylinders on this one - acting, story, creepiness, effects (simple can definitely be better sometimes), the works. Short and simple review, but the fact is? It's right just the way it is for me.
