today i threw a birthday party for my son, and since we usually eat extremely healthy at our house, i decided to serve 'party food' that we would be willing to eat on a regular basis. rather than chips, soda, cake and ice cream, we had banana oat muffins, carrots, celery, apples and grapes. there was hot chocolate, but not one person drank it. everyone kept commenting on how great the food was, and how nice it was to have healthy options, and it made me feel SO GOOD about my decision. i was so worried that people would think it was weird or lame, and everyone loved it. so be confident in living your healthy lifestyle, people want to be like you!
I lost 78 pounds with SparkPeople and I've gained most of it back because I didn't make a PERMANENT lifestyle change; I'm back because I know the support here is an essential component to success. I'm practicing the EAT TO LIVE lifestyle and feeling healthier and happier every single day.
