Maybe she was thinking she was complimenting you on how thin you looked after just having a baby? Just a thought. I know the older generation looked flabby for months (if not years) after a baby and I see how health conscious folks like you are and it is wonderful!
I work at a nursing home and some old women are mean just to be mean. I've been feeling so good about myself being 8 weeks postpartum, dealing with a staph infection, and also a knee injury, but I've been staying on track and am back at the gym 6 times a week. However today one of the residents asked "are you the girl that just had the baby?" I replied I was she says "You sure don't look like you had it." It just makes me so mad that people think this is okay by any means.
