yup blender stick
not MIXER...Blender... handblender...
I think maybe a stick blender might be best? It sounds like a great way to make and customize nut butters!

Thanks for the good idea as I love Peanut Butter, sometimes a little too much--LOL. For my hand mixer to fit into the can of peanuts it must be a super size can? I've never seen a big can of peanuts at my local grocery store? Where do you find a king size can big enough to put a hand mixer in?

A friend showed me how to do this and honestly it is the easiest way to make ... far easier than making it in my vitamix
when you shop look for on peanuts, preferable unsalted ones, that come in the CAN'S. with the plastic lids re closeable lids...THIS IS IMPORTANT
This is what you do .....open the can. do NOT pour out the peanuts leave them in the can. get your HAND BLENDER out and just start using it with the peanuts right in the can... blend until it is the consistency you like if you want it a little easier to spread add a tbsp of oil to the mix.. if you want it to taste like Jiffy or such.. add a package or two of sweetener and re-blend.. DO NOT take it out of the can..
When you are done.. use the plastic lid to cover it and Viola .. Home made peanut butter and container and all.. only thing you have to clean is the handblender. Now there are no preservatives in this so be aware.. I keep mine in the frig but you do what you like.
You can make all sorts of nut butters this way and it is so much easier than trying to get the thick butters out of the bottom of a blender or food processor.
I keep one of the empty can's to use to blend a couple different nuts together.. I have even made some cinnamon peanut butter .. use you imagination.. and have some FUN
