I like hearty soups too. Prefer chunky ones with lots of meat and veggies. I don't care for cream soups.

Love soup in cooler weather--thick, hearty soup. I rarely eat it in hot weather. By the way, it was yummy!

Jill, I'm phase 2, too. I'm just learning the foods I can eat and still lose weight.

Tomorrow for sure I'm going to make my healthy lentil and ham soup as I have a ham bone leftover from a ham I cooked a couple of days ago. This is the easiest and most tasty soup. Like you just the yummy smell of it makes me feel like a "Domestic Goddess" which I'm certainly not. This soup is full of protein so quite filling but I can't overdo eating it as it is fairly high in calories. I think it would be an Approved soup for SB, at least I hope so. I am in phase 2 but thinking about going back to phase 1 again soon. Enjoy your soup--sounds delicious!

It's my favorite time of the year for soup although I eat it all year.

I just put together chicken veggie soup: chicken breasts, fresh spinach, white beans, chicken stock, V8 juice, a carrot and barley. Waiting til nearly done to add zucchini so it doesn't liquify. No idea how many calories to claim, but it's a good sized pot and I think I'll be eating out of it for a while.

I'm not even hungry yet but it's smelling so good it has me salivating!
