On the days I really dont want eggs for breakfast (or dont have enough time to make them), I make one of these shakes in my Magic Bullet and drink it in the car on the way to work. Grab some snackable veggies (like cucumber slices) and you've got your breakfast!

1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup milk
1 tbsp cocoa powder
2 packets splenda (or whatever other sweetener you prefer)
1/2 tsp vanilla
ice cubs (i use 5)

Toss everything into a blender and blend until its smooth. You cant even tell there is cottage cheese in here, it tastes great!

Phase One Coffee Yogurt:

Greek non-fat yogurt
1 packet of stevia
A dash of fresh brewed coffee

Stir until creamy. Sprinkle ground flax if you've got it. Enjoy!

Here's a protein shake recipe I got from another forum. I don't have all the nutrition info but I'm pretty sure all the ingredients are Phase 1 friendly.

--------------------------------

"1-2-3" Mocha Ricotta Protein Shake
(yes, I know the ricotta part sounds weird, but I really donít taste it)

-------------------------------

1 cup 1% milk
1/3 cup low fat ricotta cheese
1 tsp instant coffee
2 tsp cocoa powder
3 packets of Splenda
Ice cubes

I call this the 1-2-3 shake to help me remember the amounts Ė but you can vary them according to taste.
Put everything in the blender, whip it up and enjoy!

NOTE: If Iím making this as my breakfast or lunch, Iíll also add a Ĺ scoop of protein powder. If Iím having it as a snack, I leave it out.

I got this recipe from a friend on another forum a couple of years ago. It's very versatile:

---------------------------

Protein/Flax "Bowl Muffin"

1 heaping tbsp flaxmeal
1 heaping tbsp chocolate protein powder
1 egg
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp DaVinci sugar-free flavored sryup (any flavor)
(Can add berries or nuts too if you want.)

Mix all of this together in a small microwavable bowl and cook on high for 1 minute 30 seconds.

You may need to experiment with were the amounts of the Da Vinci syrup; also cooking time will depend on your microwave. If it's overcooked it becomes too dry.

I cut these in half and toast like an English muffin.

VARIATIONS:

1) MY FAVORITE FOR BREAKFAST - use plain or vanilla protein powder instead of chocolate, Sugar-Free maple (pancake) syrup instead of DaVinci, and add some cinnamon.

2) For a savory muffin instead of sweet, use plain protein powder, extra virgin olive oil instead of syrup, and add seasonings like pepper, herbs and garlic powder. These are good to use as a "bun" for burgers or sandwiches, and I've even used them as the base for a "pizza" type thing.

which phase are you in, how long and have you been trying some of the different egg recipes in the book or making your eggs the same way each day?

Don't get stuck in the "breakfast"mode - think outside the egg carton and the cereal box. You can do leftovers, soup, smoothies, yogurt w/nuts and or fruit depending on which phase...

What else can I eat for breakfast? The only craving I'm really having is cereal. Any suggestions?
