Hello, I've hiked Usury Park several times with a hiking group called.
2-hour casual and beginner's hiking club.
It's a good group if you want time to enjoy the scenery and are starting out.
There is an entrance fee...I think $6 per car maybe.
I will check out San Tan Park tho.
S. Mtn has tons of hikes, and I've been lost on this mtn too. I've hiked that all hours of the day. I just did it the other night...no snakes but we saw two scorpions. That's the first time I ever saw scorpions in the wild...any I've seen have been in my house.
Yes I have hiked Usery, way back in the 90's. And then about a month ago. They have some nice easy trails. And the pass mountain loop (USFS)is a nice 7 to 8 mile walk. But if you want some scenery check out San Tan Park, it just rocks.
