Marybeth, we are here for you now and when you go in for your surgery, you've already succeeded in having a personal training help you get ready for the challenges ahead. I suggest you concentrate on the changes you will be making to get healthier and let the weight take care of itself. Start with iliminating your trigger foods, once you've been able to identify them. That will help. Support is just a click away :)

I will be starting a new lease on life after February 25th. Thats when the procedure takes place for a total hip replacement. I know that the recovery time will be lengthy but in the end very worthwhile. I am so tired of wobbling when I walk and not getting around as fast as I would like. In the meantime, I have been faithfully once a week doing an exercise routine with a personal fitness trainer to get me into shape and build up strength. I can see my body shape changing. It is a bit frustrating that the weight is not coming off though. I guess I need to work harder on diet changes. I stay active every day doing whatever I can to keep moving. Takes me a while to get going in the mornings though.
Please give me some encouragement along the way. I am starting to get nervous about the surgery as this is major stuff. I am still young though and know that I can recover quickly if I want to.

emoticon this thread is for everyone who is starting over or who are attempting to refresh their journey. Quit often we get side tracked by life and then we hit a new year and we want to hit the ground running. That is great, but sometimes we run into bumps in the road and we need a place to vent/ask for support/or just talk about how our refreshing program is going.

We have the Chit Chat Lounge where we talk about ourselves, our families, and what we are doing with hobbies and such, but sometimes we over look the struggles we maybe having with refreshing this journey. So this thread is for that purpose. Come here with suggestions, ideas, to provide support, to ask for support - make the most of refreshing your journey in 2013 emoticon
