I have not lost every week but have lost 2 pounds this month. It is more important that you do not gain weight and possibly lose some weight over the month. Do not go by the weight weekly, it could be wrong.

Hope that you made good choices at your bowling banquet, Niky.. It can be so hard, but we just have to stick with it. I am just starting menopause (It's been almost 2 months since I've had a period) and I'm noticing my weight loss is slowing down, and 2 weeks ago, I had a loss, and then gained it back the next week even though I stuck with my program. It can be very distressing.. But, reaching out is so positive. Would love to hear that things turn around on the scales for you, and you continue with your great loss you have been working on!

Niky, 14 lbs. gone is a real accomplishment. There will be some weeks that the scale doesn't co-operate with our expectations. The best indicator for weight loss is as Lindie said, your clothes. The scale can be fickle but your clothes won't lie. Keep doing what you are doing. It's working.
You've done really well since you did not gain and although the scale might not have moved as you thought it should, if you are exercising more then before, your building muscle which is required to burn calories. Losing weight from burning calories is more effective then losing weight from other sources. You might want to measure yourself as well - and pay attention to your clothes and how they fit or don't fit, sometimes it shows more then the scale will.

I'm disappointed that I didn't loose anything this week. I know I should have expected not to, since I've only got serious about this since March 20th and I'm down 14 lbs (yaa for me!)
Oh well, at least I didn't gain (yet). I'm going to our bowling banquette on Saturday and I'm going to be drinking, (and eating, but that I can pretty much keep under control) so we'll see next week. I've made a bargain with myself that I only drink after I loose 5 pounds so I'm not drinking every weekend and bowling nights anymore. I'm planning to drink club soda in between my glass of wine, so we'll see if that works for me. It's a lifestyle change and you gotta live, right?
