Late posting from yesterday, had split pea veggie soup, that would be 2-3 servings, blueberries carrots peas and potato. Today I am going to our favourite Indian restaurant and I will have mostly veggies, rice and very little meat.

Seems like a great place to jump in today as I just got back from buying 3 special apples and a mini seedless watermelon. I realy do love both of these fruits as well as raspberries, blueberries , so much out there. Today is my first 24 hour period for well over 2 years. But I managed to get in peas, carrots onions potato (I know it's a carb but still has fibre and nutrition) and tomorrow I'm more prepared. One thing we need to do this time of year is shop more frequently for produce that is fresher no fun eating a mushy catelope. Have a wonderful evening everyone ....KC oh forgot I had spinach and mixed veggie dip lots of spinach. emoticon

I'm up country, and we have every everything put away, cleaned, garden is done, whew!!

I was shopping today and saw more mangoes - but I didn't buy any this time. I might next week. One of the women I work with often brings one in for a snack, and the way she slices it up is so elegant and looks so easy. I'll ask her for a lesson, I think.

A better day for me: big green salad, but also tomatoes, and spinach. Okay, not great, but better.

I love farmer's markets - you get the best "stuff" there. Yesterday was a better day for me.

As for me, not as good a day. It comes from lack of enough prep. This was my last day at work, and I was going to steam some vegies for lunch and take some in for dinner. But I got a long distance phone call from a friend I haven't talked to in ages. So I chose to talk to her instead.

So, for today: apple, banana and banana. Is that really it? As far as I can remember, yes. Ouch.

Tuesday: grapefruit, tabouli (this was bought, an odd one, mostly parsley and red cabbage, and tomato), cauliflower, brussel sprouts and half an avocado.

hi rikki - i am fine. i was in hospital for a heart test - an angiogram. my arteries are perfect. but it turns out that there is a different heart issue. so more tests. but i feel fine.

dh was in charge of food yesterday, so, 3 mandarin oranges, a banana, and spinach.

Tuesday: avocado, banana, vegie chick pea salad with tomato. celery, zucchini and parsley. No veggies to speak of with dinner - it was split pea soup with some carrots. DH is making a lot of dinners these days but he does not include many vegies and I am not sure what to do about it. If I add anything, it is seen as a criticism. So I don't, but I am having dinners with few vegies. What to do.
