Today is my day for a quote. I'll admit, I didn't take the time to go searching for something really awe-inspiring because I was busy with school work. But God's word is always awe-inspiring so I thought I'd share another of my favorite verses.

Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

May you wait upon the Lord today for the strength to stick to your program, exercise beyond what you thought you were able, and fly with the wings of eagles today. I'm praying for you my sisters.

Good morning both of you! Please forgive me if I'm not posting much right now. Tomorrow is report card day and I've had a lot of assessments to score. Tonight I'll be working on the actual report cards all evening, so I may not get a chance to get back on later today either.

I've done pretty well with my weekly plan. I've gotten in two days each of walking and water aerobics and I did get in 20 minutes on the elliptical trainer yesterday. I've done pretty well with my eating since the weekend when I wasn't particularly good. I have not tracked my food, mostly due to time.

Dot - good job with your exercise.

Hi Girls,
I realize now as I think about it why I let yesterday go to pot (so to speak). My days have very little structure right now...and yesterday my plans were changed by two people. First my sister, then my son. Both needing my help. Of course I said yes. That "very little structure" that I had just fell at my feet. I hope this is something that I'll remember (a lesson learned), and deal with better the next time it happens.
I'm looking forward to seeing your posts when you both come on later. Pam, what's with the new profile pic? Is that your fever being sweated out? I miss your new picture that you had up for a few days. I was looking at your photo gallery the other day and can definately see the change in you. Lookin' Good, Girl!

Dot, we all have those kind of days every now and then. Yes, get mad at yourself cuz you know you can do better, then forget about it and get back on the horse! We can't live in the past. Learn a lesson, think about your triggers and how to avoid them, and move on! You can do this! You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. You didn't let us down. We are human too and have our share of days like that!

Pammie, that profile pic makes me sad. I'm so used to seeing you with your big smile. It's like when you have that smile on your face I can just feel God's light radiating from your beautiful face. What can we do to bring back the smiling Pam?

Dot - The only thing I can say about the elliptical is that you just have to keep trying and push yourself a little more each time. I think I did about 1 minute my first time on. Even now, I hit a wall at about 8 or 9 minutes, but once I get past that I'm usually good for about 8 or more minutes. I do it rather than a treadmill because it is easier on my knees due to less impact AND I feel like I get a better workout.

I actually teared up when I saw that I really am with the two of you for the February challenge. That would be tears of happiness not sadness. LOL I feel very at home with the two of you. How did that happen? Did a little birdie make that suggestion to Sue? I'll try to be ready for the pressure by Wednesday of coming up with a life inspiring quote!

Pam - You are so silly! I'm going to think of you and your tramatized shower every time I take a shower! I'm glad your pain is not as bad today. It sounds like you have a good eating plan in mind!

I had a good day today so far. I ate well, did the WATP after school and have my bag packed to just go straight to the Y when I leave here. I'm not sure what I am having for supper yet, but it will be late. That is the one bad thing about my schedule. I don't usually go home between school and the Y and water aerobics lasts until 7:45. So by the time I shower and get home it is usually about 8:15 and I still have to eat. I just always figure that the exercise keeps my fat burning for a while later into the evening so I hope I'll be okay.

OK, I see that enquiring minds want to know....LOL....My shower is shocked everytime that it sees me naked, so that is why I traumatize the shower. LOL

Dot, I have always had a hard time with the elliptical too. Even when I was healthier, I could only do up to 3 - 5 minutes on it.

Vicky, so glad that you joined us today and you are always welcome here. Your plan for this week sounds great!

Dot, great quote. If we will just take one step at a time as the Lord leads us, we can do whatever He has in His plan for us!

I was in physically horrible shape last night, horrible pain, in tears, could barely move, and it took away what little breath I had. But praise the Lord! He answered people's prayers and although I have pain as usual today, it is not nearly like last night. I am grateful to the Lord for that! So my plan for today is uncertain. I do plan to eat well. I had a half cup of cottage cheese and an apple for breakfast. I will have a mid morning snack and an afternoon snack, and I don't have my lunch or supper planned out yet. It is too early in the day. It isn't even 7:30 am yet here. I was thinking about having Slow Cooker Pork Chops for supper, but I will have to go to the store first in order to have that. Maybe for lunch I will have Tilapia, Brown Rice with Mushrooms and Onions, and Green Beans. That sounds like a good plan to me.

I wish for you a wonderful day and I pray that God will lead you and guide you into good food and beverage choices today and give you strength for any exercise and activity that you need to do today. I look forward to talking with both of you later on today.

Vicky, it's absolutely fine with me that you join us. However, there WILL be pressure! Kidding! One thing Pam and I have been doing is alternating days with an inspirational "Thought for the Day". It's my turn today, Pam tomorrow, and if you'd like to join in your turn would be on Wednesday. So, they say forewarned is forearmed, right?

Today I DO HOPE to get on the treadmill (how I HATE that thing!) So Boring! And, lately each time I finish on the treadmill, I've been getting on the elliptical. But I sure don't last long on that! Torture! Vicky, how does one get started on that? How did you do it? Do I just keep trying?

Hi Pammie and Dot - Dot I hope you don't mind. My buddies havne't been very active, one hasn't even been back in over a week. I've been talking to Pam through mail and she thought that you might not mind if I popped into your thread. If it is a problem, just tell me so. I don't want to interfere. I've been reading through the posts and can see that you tow have established a good relationship here and I'm not trying to get in between that. But I see a lot of God's love in this thread and His love is unlimited so I'm hoping there is enough for me too!

I hope you both had a great weekend. Mine was pretty good except for a little problem controlling my eating. My plan for this week:

1. Do Walk Away the Pounds 5 days M - F
2. Do water aerobics 4 nights M - Thur. (Those are the only nights it is offered in the evening.)
3. Do 20 minutes on the elliptical trainer at least 2 times this week.
4. Increase my water from 8 glasses per day to 9 glasses per day.
5. Get back to tracking my food. I've gotten slack about doing that.
6. Stay at the low end of my calorie range and eat healthy.

I think that is a pretty ambitious plan, but I am confident that I can do it.

Pam, great job on the 30 minutes on the bike. How exactly did you tramatize your shower?

Well, this morning I ended up riding the bike for 30 minutes after all. It took me several times to do it, but I got it done. Then I traumatized my shower and then went to church. Haven't had much to eat today. Haven't had the strength or ambition or been without pain enough to fix anything. So I have eaten very little, but what I have had has been healthy. And I have had 6 glasses of water so far today.

Hi Dot! Have I told you that you are such a blessing? Well I am telling you now.

I didn't exercise at all for the last couple of days due to my health. I have been having a lot of chills and fever, worse than usual body pain and aches, headaches, and weakness. So I decided to rest my body the last two days. It too will pass for a while. I think it is just part of this disease process that I have going on that they never have been able to diagnose. So I have to rest at times like that and wait for a better day physically. The good thing is that everyday is a good day in the Lord, so I am doing fine.

My eating was pretty good yesterday. I did splurge a little bit last night. I ordered out for Chinese. I got General Tso's Chicken with Fried Rice, eggroll and crab rangoon, but I only ate half of it last night, so I think I did pretty well. Other than that, yesterday I had some cottage cheese, some apples, some meatballs and 6 glasses of water. I didn't have veggies though, so I didn't do so well in that way.

I may be going out to eat today, and if I do I will probably get a salad and a steak and veggies dinner. No potatoes and no bread, except maybe croutons on my salad.

I was thinking about going to church this morning, but I am not sure I am going to be able to this morning. I am having trouble keeping my eyes open. I was reading my Bible a little while ago and I was only able to read one chapter out of just one of my Bibles, and I had to put it down because I was too sleepy. Usually I read one chapter out of about 6 or more of my Bibles before I put it down. So, as much as I would like to go this morning, my sleepiness and pain just might prevent me from going. But I hope that you have a great time, and are blessed and ministered to.

Hey! How are you doing?
I have just enough calories left for dinner and then I am DONE! I'll have to finish off my water and maybe go to bed early. Anything but eat! I am really pshyched about this week. I believe it will be a good one. I need to get the scale moving downward like it used to. Gaining back a little of the weight over the holidays really bothered me. I can't figure out why it didn't bother me this way before. Just goes to show you...we really are changing...we're not the same as we used to be...that's why it will work for us this time.

Good morning Dot! I didn't let you down this week. I weighed in and am happy to report that I lost 9 pounds this week. YAY!!!!

That sounds really healthy! I did read though that if you have cheese, you are better off with low fat mozarella cheese. I use string cheese a lot. It is just the protein that I need between meals or after a workout.

I mailed Susie and she responded that she would keep us together, but depending on how many others there are, she may put somebody with us. I said that would be just fine.

Your omelet sounds WONDERFUL!

All low-cal and yummy! I saute the mushrooms, onions and peppers, add the egg beaters and a slice of cheese...and end up with an omelette that fills my plate and my stomach...all for 140 calories!

I wasn't at my best yesterday or even the day before. I'm of that "all or nothing" mentality. No water at all...my food wasn't all that bad...i.e. no binging...but, no calorie counting either. I was at the supermarket late yesterday afternoon, and I bought many of the foods I used to eat when my program was working...foods that had me losing weight and feeling good. Lately, I've been realizing I need to do that...to go back to what worked for me before. I've been making things way more complicated than they need to be.
I think the 8 or 9 glasses of water a day would be great! That's my goal too. I don't always succeed. But, we're sure to get in at least 6 if we're striving for 9, right?

Hi Dot! Great quote! OK, I will share a thought for the day tomorrow. Hmmmm, what shall it be? Lord, HELP me give a good thought for the day.

Dot, I will send a sparkmail to Sue and tell her that we would like to continue the buddy challenge but that we want to keep each other as the buddy.

Sorry that you were not feeling well and down yesterday. Are you feeling any better today? I know that sinus infections can really make you feel miserable. So, if that is what you have, I hope you get some antibiotics for it soon.

So how is your eating going? And your water drinking?

I had that popcorn addiction going on for about a week again, but the Lord broke that bondage and I haven't had any for two days and I am fine with that. I am so thankful to the Lord for doing that for me. So, my eating has been going quite well. I am still drinking at least 6 glasses of water a day, but I think I should up that to 8 or 9 glasses per day. What do you think?

Hi Pam,
Sorry I didn't post yesterday. Was kinda down..not feeling well. I've had a headache all week! And, I don't like to take anything for it because I'm on blood pressure meds. Could be a sinus infection (per Dr. ME!). I promised myself it I still have this headache tomorrow, I'll see my doctor. I am so PROUD of you for all of that working out you did yesterday! You're a better worman than I am, for sure! But, you've got it right! We shouldn't give a hoot if anybody's watching or what they think! You Go Girl! This is about you and your life!
Pam, I am so THRILLED that you would like to stay buddies! I feel the same. I was going to respond to that post about continuing the buddy challenge into February, but I didn't yet because I didn't know how you felt about it. Having you here for me, is like having a new Best Friend. I look forward to your posts and I worry about you if you're not on all day. I have to tell you that one of the things I love most about you is your faith in God...and how you share that so openly. Thank you for that!
What would you think about sharing a "Thought for thd Day" with each other? We could take turns if you'd like..I could do one day and you do the next. For instance, this quote has been getting my attention all week, I just don't know where I got it from.

Hi Dot! What is happening with you today? Is everything going OK? I think I am going to have a good weigh in this week. Well, today I went to the YMCA with Glen. I rode 10 minutes on the exercise bike first. It took me 5 times to get the 10 minutes, but I did it. Then I used the weight machines for the next 50 minutes. I used 10 machines, doing 3 sets of 12 reps on each machine. I didn't rest hardly at all between sets, just long enough to catch my breath, so I kept my pulse up pretty much the whole hour. A couple of the machines I know people had to have been giggling if they saw me try to get onto them. One was the abductor. I really had a hard time getting my legs into place without wrapping my oxygen hose around me and the equipment too. Finally I succeeded. I stayed there until I got all three sets done. People were just going to have to wait. I could only do that act once. Then getting onto the adductor machine was also quite a sight for the same reason. Even my getting onto the stationary bike was not a pretty site. I really have a hard time getting up onto the seat. I can't lower the seat, because then my knees would bend too much and my knees just don't do that. The rest of the machines I didn't have too much trouble using. So, while I am sure it was entertaining for some of the buff guys standing around, hey, at least I did it, right? So, now I am going to relax and hope I can sleep tonight without too much pain.

Dot, I don't know how you feel about it, but personally, I would like to keep you as my buddy in February if they will allow it and you agree.

Good morning Dot! Thank you for setting me straight and for the encouragement! Today is starting out very well. I had a string cheese and apple for breakfast. I am not sure which train it is that ran me over, but I am not so sure what kind of exercise I will be able to do. But I will try to move a little bit today. I did have 3 glasses of water so far today, so that is going well too. I am pleased.

I pray that God will open up the door to the right job for you and lead you to it at just the right time. Have a great day, drink your 9 glasses of water, make good food choices, move a little bit more than your comfort level allows, and have a wonderful day, rejoicing in the Lord!

Hey! Stop already! We're not keeping score. It is important that you listen to your body...as you are. You know what you need, so no beating yourself up when you need to rest and recuperate, okay? We are the only ones that can really take care of ourselves, you know? No one else can ever do that for us. No matter how much they may love us. We have to love ourselves enough to know what is needed on any given day.
As for me, I begin my job search today. Resume's ready to be sent out. Last July I left the company I had been with for 25 years. The commute was too long and I needed a change. I've had my "break", my time for "me". Now, on to other things! I'm believing that God will open the door wherever He wants me to be now. I'm really hoping for a civil service job, so I have to find out about that test.

Congratulations on doing the treadmill for 16 minutes today. That is really great! I'm proud of you. And you got in all your glasses of water too? You go girl! And you stayed in your calorie range? Alright! Way to go! You get a perfect score today.

I worked Friday morning, then I worked again Sunday morning and then the overnight shift Sunday night, so I have been pretty exhausted, as my body is not used to that, and it takes a toll on me when I work that much. So that is why I have not been on here much. Today I have eaten a small amount so far. Not even as much as I should, but I have been in bed most of the day. I haven't had any water yet. And I did exercise yesterday but not today. So I guess I don't get a good score at all today. Tomorrow will be better.

It's me again...here to hold myself accountable. I stayed within my calorie range today (yay!).. I got on the treadmill for 16 minutes (yay again!)..and, I'm about to drink my last glass of water. Good Morning Pam!
I didn't get on here yesterday. And, Hubby is home with me today. But, I just wanted to say Hi and let you know I'm thinking of you. I plan on counting every calorie today and drinking my water. I've been fighting with myself and losing the battle on moving my butt each day...so,today I'm giving myself a challenge for the week. I will walk at least 15 minutes for the next 5 days. That's Mon thru Fri.
How about you? Anything in particular you're struggling with?

Here I am at 8am. I feel like I'm in a daze...house needs a major clean-up since last night's party..it's only -1 degrees outside! Can't even believe that..we're in the deep freeze here in New York! Good morning Dot! I can't get into the bathroom to weigh this morning, so it will have to be later on today. My scale is in the bathroom that my daughter is using to get ready and I used the other one so I am already dressed for work. In answer to your question, the reason that I drank so much water is that I decided to drink water instead of my usual Diet Coke, so that just shows how much Diet Coke I normally drink. LOL I really am not looking forward to this weigh in. I wish I could use last week's loss for this week, but I know I can't so I will just have to weigh and see what damage has been done this week. Well, I see that I need to leave in about 5 or 10 minutes, so I better go so I can get my oxygen ready. You have a great day! Talk to you later!

I am so impressed! I just posted my weight. I lost .4 lb. I sure hope I do better next week. I know I can do better. I know if I start working out like you did, I'll do better! Well, it's Friday...tonight's the party...and, I feel like this is the lull before the storm...I wonder how many people will come with it being as cold as it is...right now it's only 3 degrees outside! I got a lot accomplished yesterday...just have a few things to finish up this morning. I'll check in later with you.
Pam, please don't stress about your weigh-in today. Whatever doesn't show up on the scale today may very well show up next week. 18? glasses of water? I can't even imagine! Is that because you like it, or it staves off the hunger? emoticon

Hi Dot! I way overate yesterday, but it was all healthy food. I didn't eat processed foods or potatoes or anything not on my diet, but I did overeat as far as calories. I also drank too much water. I drank 18 glasses of water yesterday, so when I weighed today I was up ten pounds. So today I have eaten very little so far, and have only drank 3 glasses of water so far. I did go to the YMCA this afternoon though. *pat myself on back*. I rode the recumbent bike for 6 minutes. That is all I could manage to do. Then I worked with 12 machines and did 3 sets of 12 on each of the 12 machines, so I think I did really well with that. I am pleased with my accomplishment for today.

Hi Pam,
How are you doing? I'm still struggling. It's snowing here in NY today. I have a lot to do...getting the house ready for a big party we're throwing tomorrow night. We have 50 people coming! It's a surprise party for my son. My daughter-in-law put the guest list together...that's why there's 50 people coming. I would not have invited that many myself. I think I'm numb...that's why I'm not panicking. The food is being catered, so I just have to set things up and clean all day. I can do that, right? Hopefully, I won't be stuffing my face at the same time.

I agree with you Dot. It is a struggle, but as you said, saying no to that first bite is a lot of times what is necessary. I have done in the past the same as you were describing. You think, well one bite won't hurt, and then you take a second bite because, heck, that is just two bites. But those were so good, you can't stop now. And then when you have eaten too much, you decide, I've already blown it, so why not eat more. So many times it lies with that first bite if you know that it is food that is addictive for you. That is why when I made my brown rice the other day, after it cooled, I divided it all up into 1 serving size packages and put them in the freezer. That is one of the best things I have done for myself in learning to control my portions. I am controlling the portions before they control me.

I pray that you have a healthy day today, that God leads you and you hear Him lead you, in making good food and beverage choices.

My plan is to eat every 2 to 3 hours, with a protein each time, and a good carb too. I aim to eat a total of 9 servings of fruit/veggies today and drink 8 glasses of water.

Good Morning Pam,
Wow...I'm sitting here and I don't even know what to say. After all these years struggling with my weight, you would think that once we made up our minds we would stick to it. The food is so difficult to let go of. I forgot to remind myself that hunger pangs mean my body is giving up the fat...I've been eating and defeating the whole purpose. Today I will try to remember hunger pangs are a good thing, my friend...they mean progress.
I pledge to you, my friend, that I will drink 9 glasses of water today - by 6pm. And, I will not have anything to eat after dinner. That's a good challenge for me....you see, I've been a night eater all my life.
For you, Pam...
May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you. May He watch over you and all of you loved ones...in your coming and your going. May He give you peace and strength within to face the day and help you with any challenge that you may face this day. Amen
I pledge to you, Pam, that I will do everything in my power today to make today a success! I will not sabotage my own good efforts. I will say at the end of today..."Well done!" I know that one success leads more easily to another. Tomorrow will be easier if today is victorious. Haven't you found that to be true? Hi Dot! This is the first time today that I have been on the computer except to log in some medicine that I took. I have been in bed until about 2 pm, then had to take my daughter to an appointment and now I am back home, wanting to go back to bed. I'm so sorry that you are feeling under the weather today.

Lord, please touch Dot with your hand of healing and cause whatever is wrong in her body to be made right. Whatever is causing the sore throat and cough, make it leave her body now, leaving her feeling well. Please give her peace in her spirit about what she did or didn't do yesterday, and help her to face today fresh as a new day and give her the ability and determination to make good food and drink choices. Thank you for what you are doing in our lives. I ask all those things for Dot, in the name of Jesus! Amen!

Hi Pam,
Not doing so well today..my throat is really sore, coughing, up since 4am. I didn't drink any water yesterday..people were in and out of the house all day..I tend to NOT do what I'm supposed to on days like that...I get distracted and forget. Food was good - except for the part where I downed a BAG of chips/cracker combo.
Well, today is a new day...and, I can't change yesterday.
I sure hope you're feeling even a little bit better? I know what you mean about portion sizes. It is so hard to place smaller portions on our plates and be satisfied, isn't it?
I'm going for my first glass of water now.

Good morning Dot! Good to see you this morning. No, not sleeping as well as I would like to. Still feel a virus attacking me, so I hurt more than usual and don't breathe as well, and feel feverish. But it will soon pass.

I did good the last two days with what I ate. It was all healthy food, but I still ate my last meal too late in the day and had larger portions than I should have. My goal for this week is to do better portion control.

You will do great...I just have a feeling in my gut that says that you will do very well with getting off those extra pounds. Let's keep drinking the water. That is something I fell short of yesterday. I only had 6 glasses of water yesterday.

Morning Pammie!
I was working on my SparkPage a bit this morning and decided to change my ticker to reflect the weight I had gained back since mid-November. I wasn't planning on changing it - until now. This Challenge and Buddy forum is really helping me...I've had a few good days. So, I know the ticker will soon move again in the RIGHT diriction! emoticon

I did really good as far as healthy eating, but my husband fixed a super good meal last night and I ate two servings which put me over the top on calories. I hope that it doesn't put some of those pounds back on me. So far, I have only eaten a string cheese and an apple. I have been in bed the rest of the time.

I'm back. I just posted my weight on the message board - make sure you remember to do that. Yesterday, committing my water to you really pushed me to get it all in. So, today I will do the same..9 glasses by 4pm. Yesterday I had a hard time with the food not only during early afternoon, but also in the evening. However, I've been so inspired by Wants2Cruise' 13 pound weight loss this week! And, I did lose 2 pounds already this week myself. So, I just have to remind myself that when I feel the hunger pangs, that's my body telling me it's losing fat...right at that moment! I will visualize the fat just melting in a puddle at my feet! Hey Pam,
I just have a minute...wanted to see how you are. There you were posting again in the middle of the night. For sure, I will be thinking of you at night when I'm tossing and turning...that's when I do a lot of praying...consider yourself now added to my list! I know what you mean when you say how difficult it is to breathe just moving around..especially when you're fighting a virus or bug. I had a very dear Aunt who was on oxygen and still struggled to breathe.
I'm fine...will post again later. Hang in there!

So , Dot, you didn't tell me how the rest of your day went. I am eager to know all about it. My eating stayed right on track. I am very proud of myself. I am feeling horrible though. I know I must have a virus bug that is trying to take me down. Please pray for me, as I am having a terrible time being able to breathe, and when I have to walk or stand and breathe, it is almost impossible. I for sure need prayer. God will be the victor!

Yes, Dot, AMEN! We are more than conquerors! Lord, I lift up my buddy Dot and ask that you would help her to make good food and beverage choices throughout the rest of the day lead her and guide her in everything she does and says, all in the name of Jesus!

I have done well today. I am feeling pretty weak right now though. I think my body just isn't yet used to healthy eating, so I am going to hang in there and just rest when I need to rest, which is most of the time. I did empty and load the dishwasher and as crazy as it may sound to some people, that is a ton of exercise for lil ole me. I have to sit down every few minutes while doing it. But I got it done! YAY!

Hi Pam,
Hope you're feeling better today? Is it usually worse during the night?
I had a better day today...I did get my water in...will keep it going still. Maybe it will eliminate my night time hunger. Your support has already helped me. I want to thank you for being my Buddy. I've discovered I have difficulty the same time period each afternoon.. between 12:00 and 3:00. This is something new that's been happening. We are more than conquerors through Christ Who strengthens us, right?

Hi Dot! Actually, the reason that I was up was because I couldn't breathe. I was having a terrible time breathing, so I was leaving a couple messages requesting prayer. I had shortness of breath (worse than usual) and chest pain. Several people prayed and it did get better shortly after that, and then even better this morning. I feel like I may be coming down with something though. Maybe the flu or some other virus? That makes it especially bad for me since I have trouble breathing to begin with.

Good water drinking goal! I haven't been up long but I have had 2 glasses so far. I am aiming to get in at least 8 glasses, but hopefully 10 glasses of water today before I go to bed tonight.

Good Morning! I see your post was in the middle of the night...trouble sleeping? Or, are you simply a "night person"?
What's in store for you today? I'm going to commit to having 9 glasses of water today...5 by noon and the other 4 by 4 pm. Drinking the water always led me straight to a good day!

Thanks for setting this up for us. I appreciate it!
I'm doing lousy..as far as food goes. I haven't been able to rein myself in...I begin each day with high hopes and fall apart by early afternoon. I had lost 27 pounds last year...and, I know I can do this again. I just need to borrow one of my own lines and "stop making excuses".
Mom has her good times and bad times, mostly bad right now...but, she's coming along we hope.
I'm stuck in the house tomorrow without a car...it's in for repair. So, maybe tomorrow I can get my act together...there's nothing in the house to cheat on!
Wow, this sure does seem like a negative post and a negative attitude! I'm sorry. I'm not normally like this. I promise tomorrow my post will be so different you won't even recognize me!

Hey Dot, since you agreed on the name of the team, I went ahead and set us up a chat thread where we can encourage each other. I hope your day has been good. I was doing quite well with my eating until I got home from work and decided to have a snack of mixed nuts. Mixed nuts are on my program, but in moderation, and I went hog wild. And I do mean HOG WILD. So, now I am back on track and hopefully, I won't do that again. It may be something that I won't be able to have at all if I can't control myself.

I didn't exercise today, but I did go to work and for me that is exercise.

So how did you do today? Or how are you doing in general since the first of the month?
