Happy Thursday ladies;

Vicky hope the report cards went well. I taught for about 10 years in a private school. I remember how I would hole myself up and disappear so that I could get it done. My family thought I had died or something.

I didn't get on yesterday because I just didn't feel to well. I am so much better today. Even had the energy to go out and grocery shop. What an adventure! After being so sick it was a real workout. I am claiming 30 min of walking.

I also bought myself a pedometer. I am going to track how many steps I take in a day so that maybe I can become more active. It has a feature that lets you set a goal and then tells you throughout the day how you are doing in percentages.

I am down about three lbs. as of this morning but the scale has been known to play tricks on me on weigh in day. I have literally been down the day before, gained on weigh in day and then down again the following day. Strange I know.

The leaky faucet seems to have been turned off for now. Now if I could not sound like I am talking out of a bucket.

Hope you both have good weigh ins tomorrow.

Good morning both of you! Please forgive me if I'm not posting much right now. Tomorrow is report card day and I've had a lot of assessments to score. Tonight I'll be working on the actual report cards all evening, so I may not get a chance to get back on later today either.

I've done pretty well with my weekly plan. I've gotten in two days each of walking and water aerobics and I did get in 20 minutes on the elliptical trainer yesterday. I've done pretty well with my eating since the weekend when I wasn't particularly good. I have not tracked my food, mostly due to time.

Debby - I'm glad you are still sticking with us for the rest of January even though you have decided not to participate in February. Like Dore says, we need all the support we can get!

Dore - Hope the drippy faucet has been turned off and you get to feeling back to normal soon. Hummmm, not wanting to eat might not be such a bad thing... emoticon

After the weekend, I've done a pretty good job of sticking to my plan. Good exercise, okay eating. As of this morning I'm still up a couple of pounds though. Hope that goes away before Friday. I thought it was just extra water weight since I didn't eat that well on the weekend and had some chips and stuff, but it hasn't gone away yet. emoticon

Have a healthy day!

Count your blessings!
Vicky

Afternoon,

I am feeling some better. I just wish someone would find the handle to the drippy faucet (my nose). I have taken it easy and still have been able to begin to get caught up after our trip.

Debby - we all need the help and encouragement. I could not do this alone. So here is a great big emoticon emoticon emoticon .

I can't taste the food so I have no desire to eat. I made homemade soup yesterday and got too much black pepper in it. Its a good thing DH likes it hot.

Staying on track fairly well today. Hope you both have a great night.

Hello Ladies, Dore, I think you caught my bug! emoticon It lasted for about a week, hope you are better soon. I think it is a good idea to restate your goals also Vicky. Mine are to get in my 8 glasses of water daily and to do 30 Min's or more on my treadmill, atleast three times per week. Doing pretty good this week so far, but its only Tuesday. Pray for me. Talk at you later. Debby emoticon

Good morning!
I thought I would check in this morning before getting ready for work and I'm glad I did.

Dore- I'm so sorry you have been under the weather. I saw your note on the chat page too that you haven't really wanted to eat much. You are right. Not eating enough is just as much of a problem as eating too much. And yes, you need the exercise, but don't try to do much until you get feeling better. Your body needs the extra rest just to recover.

I'm glad to hear that Aurora continues to improve. She's a beautiful little girl and I know that it was heartbreaking to see her suffer.

I usually am not home during the week from 7:20 AM until about 8:15 PM. That's why it is usually easier to stay on track on the weekdays for me. I'm busy on the weekends too but it is a different kind of busy. We do usually go out to eat. I have routines for that that aren't too bad, but the snacking is what really got me last weekend. I don't usually have quite so much of a problem with that. I'll blame it on my husband because he brought junk food home. Chips especially are a weakness for me and I have asked him not to bring them home. He does fairly well but slipped up and I slipped up right behind him!

Got to get ready for school. Talk to you later.

Count your blessings!
Vicky

Good evening ladies,

I seem to have brought back something from our visit. I have been just miserable since Fri. So am taking it easy and resting mostly.

The grand daughter continues to improve and we are glad for that.

Debby - sorry to hear that you will not be in the February challenge. I know that life can sometimes just take over and leave us with little choice but to deal. I have enjoyed getting to know you better.

Vicky - my weekends are my busy time. During the week, DH and son work odd hours and so I am often alone most of the day. Both have weekends off and so I am busy with activities revolving around them.

I think it is great to restate your goals.

Mine are to drink my water, exercise in some form for at least 10 min right now and to watch what I eat.

Have a great night everyone.

Good Morning Ladies, I don't know what happened to my post from Friday, I did something wrong, but I did lose 2 lbs! After all that snacking with my family last weekend, I am so happy I was still able to drop anything. I started on the treadmill Tuesday evening! Counted calories and drank my water faithfully. Friday morning when I got on the scale I was hoping to just not have gained any weight, losing was a plus! I'm sorry to have left you hanging Vicky, I went to Tampa after I posted my weight loss on Friday. Had a nice weekend. Happy to hear you enjoyed your time with your family too Dore. Grand children are wonderful. I will not be joining the February challenge but I want to Thank you both for your help during this time. Good luck to both of you. Debby

Hi Dore, I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was pretty good except for a little problem controlling my eating. My plan for this week:

1. Do Walk Away the Pounds 5 days M - F
2. Do water aerobics 4 nights M - Thur. (Those are the only nights it is offered in the evening.)
3. Do 20 minutes on the elliptical trainer at least 2 times this week.
4. Increase my water from 8 glasses per day to 9 glasses per day.
5. Get back to tracking my food. I've gotten slack about doing that.
6. Stay at the low end of my calorie range and eat healthy.

What is your plan for the week?

Count your blessings!

Hi Dore! I'm glad you are back. I was so lonely here! Saturdays are sort of a busy day for me usually so I'm sorry I didn't get to check in earlier. I think you did wonderful to be out of town for that long and Still lose .1 pound. Great job! I usually always gain when I go out of town.

I looked at the pictures. Bless her little heart. I know how hard that must have been. I'll continue to pray for her.

I usually am better able to check in on Sundays so I'll chat with you tomorrow.

Count your blessings!

Hi Debby and Vicky!
I am back in town and ready to go. I am really proud of myself. Though when I weighed in today I had only lost .1 lb. I feel it is a victory because of the stressful week and they types of food available to me. So I am not upset at all. I was really expecting a large gain. I liked my surprise.

I have blogged on my page about our trip. I have also included some pictures both in the photo gallery and on the blog of what the little one looks like. It was very hard to look at her like that. The pain seems to be gone and now she is sleeping about 18 hrs a day. The Drs. say that is good.

I will be checking in every day from now on so you won't have to be alone any more Vicky. Sorry I had to disappear for a week right at the beginning of our challenge.

I am here though to stay.

Hi Debby and Dore! Where are you? I'm lonely. emoticon I went to water aerobics last night and only a couple of moves hurt my knee. Today I jumped back on the bandwagon and did my WATP video. I did pretty well. I got a twinge every now and then as I stepped on it a certain way, but felt close to being back to normal. I'm glad because I was really worried about losing momentum. Hope both of you had a healthy weekend and are back to chat with me soon.

Hi my January cold weather buddies! I was off to a good start this week, but am struggling today with my knee hurting. I haven't tried to do much. I fell getting out of bed today and twisted it. I'm praying that it will feel better tomorrow as I don't want to lose momentum on my exercise program. If I can walk tomorrow, I'll go test it out in the pool before I try any walking or anything.
Hope you both had a good weekend and I'm looking forward to hearing from both of you on Monday!

Hi! Dore, hope you are enjoying your trip and Debby, I'm glad it seems that you must be feeling a little better. Well, a new week for the challenge and another chance to do well. Debby you are right that sometimes our bodies just want to hang on to the pounds no matter what we do. But just hang in there and keep it up both of you. It's a mathematical certainty that if you continue to burn more calories than you take in, you will lose weight! So be as active as you can be for your level of health and fitness, stay in your calorie range (don't try to starve the pounds off), keep drinking your water, and get plenty of rest. It will happen!
And thanks Debby, but I'm not in competition with anyone except myself! I promised I was going to get these pounds off before the cruise and I will. Now I'm starting to look at setting a new goal so I can keep myself going after the cruise. I just hope I can be of some encouragement to both of you and others to see that you really can do this. I just know if I can, anyone can!

Count your blessings!
Vicky

Well ladies, I did not lose anything. I have been drinking a lot of water and juice trying to fight this cold. Been sweating a lot so I was hoping that along with my not eatting would help. I am feeling much better now so this week I want to lose at least five pounds! emoticon Vicky, You are the biggest loser of the first week! Come on Dore, we have to do a little more to lift our team count next week. I hope you enjoy your trip and stay focused. You may be a one of those plateaus where you have done everything right but your body wont give up the pounds. Probably have a big loss next week though so look out! I think eatting low carb and then eatting canned soups and juices sent my body into confusion! I'm looking into the weight watchers plan this week. I was able to do 20 mins on the treadmill today. My daughter is here for the weekend so I may not be able to check in. Just keep me in your prayers and you both will be in mine. Have a wonderful weekend. Debby emoticon

Hi Vicky;

Good going on the weight loss. Don't beat yourself up over the what happened over the holidays. Five years ago I lost almost 60 lbs. I am now working at losing those plus the extra that I gained with it. It is a new time for me and I try not to remember those lbs. You will reach your 100 lb. goal.

Having said all that I am afraid I must post a 3 lb. gain. I have no idea why. I could come up with a 100 reasons why. But I do know I am not going to let this gain stop what I am trying to do.

Also I need to let you and Debby know that my posting in may be very sporadic the next 5 days as DH and I have decided to make a trip to see the Granddaughter and her mother. It is a first time trip so I have no idea what internet will be available. When I can I will check in. I will be back before the next weigh in.

Hope you get to feeling better.

Hey Dore and Debby! Hope you are both doing okay today. My throat is hurting worse today, but other than my throat, I still feel pretty well. I lost five pounds this week. (Actually I relost 5 pounds - That was part of the weight I put back on over Christmas.) Sometimes it amazes me as to how we sabotage our own success. Mid December I had lost 82 pounds total. Then I gained so much over the holidays that I've had to lose 18 and still have one more to go to be at that 82 pound total again. The part that frustrates me is that if I wouldn't have gained and just maintained through the holidays, with 18 pounds I would have actually hit my 100 pound goal. Does that make sense? It's hard to explain. But we do so often sabotage our own success. We make excuses for ourselves, we find a hundred reasons to overeat or not exercise. One night this week I overate on mini popcorn cakes. I know that they are a pretty healthy snack, but I didn't need to finish the bag. I should have just counted out my serving and left the bag in the kitchen, but I didn't. I know my control is sometimes week, so I should have know better than to take that half bag of popcorn cakes into the living room with me. I'm going to try to do better not to sabotage myself. How about you?

Count your blessings!

Hey Debby, Sorry you have been feeling under the weather. I agree, I'll take losses however I get them. I've also been nursing a sore throat all week. Unfortunately, mine has not been severe enough to keep me from eating. It seems pretty good in the morning and then starts hurting worse throughout the day. By this time of evening, it is fairly painful.

Dore, I feel confident that you will show a loss this week. Since you've done well all except for that one day, I'm sure you could not have undone the rest of the week's hard work in one evening. And way to go turing a chore into a great workout. What a positive approach to what I am sure was a difficult task.

I've had a pretty fair week. I got a lot of exercise and stayed within my range even though I didn't make all the best choices and one day my calories were a little high. I know I've lost a couple pounds, and am actually hoping for at least 4. That would put me back at a total loss of 80 pounds and within 2 pounds of my prior to the holidays best weight. I'll check in as soon as I can tomorrow to applaud your losses! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hello Dore and Vicky, I have been a little under the weather but am feeling better today. Been eatting as much soup as I could and juices. I haven't been able to eat much of anything though so I believe I will have a loss to report tomorrow. I know its just from fighting this sore throat and head cold but I'll take a loss how ever I can get it. Going back to work in the morning so I had better get back to bed. Have a Great Weight In! Talk at you tomorrow. emoticon

Good evening to you both;

It is easier for me to post in the evening right now.

It has been a great day. Since our weather is so mild right now DH and I have been working outside to get some things done. Today we cleaned up from a storm we had back in Oct. that just about destroyed three of our trees. We now have plenty of firewood for the rest of this winter season. I also was able to log in 80 min. of exercise. Woho!!!

I won't know until tomorrow how the week went but I am hoping that one night of slippage will not disappoint on the scale. If it does I know that I am making the changes that count.

Debby - hope all is well.

Hi Buddies,
I just haven't seemed to be able to get on here much the last couple of days. I want too, but I've been busy in the afternoon at school, and haven't gotten up early enough to have time in the morning.
Dore, good going get back on track. We all mess up, but the important thing is that you didn't give up, you got back on track. Good for you.
I snacked too much tonight. I was eating pretty healthy stuff, I just couldn't seem to stop. Smart Pop MIni popcorn cakes, dried plums, and too many of each. I tracked everything and was still within my calorie range, but way fsrther towards the top of that range than usual. Must do better tomorrow.
Debby, I missed you today. Hope you are okay.

Count your blessings!

Good afternoon team mates.

Well I didn't finish the night well but am back on track for today. No excuses just didn't do well.

Spent a large portion of today cleaning the rooms where the granddaughter and her mother stayed while with us. She had taken almost everything but did happen to find some things and will probably be taking them with us when we visit next month.

I am not having trouble getting in the water or staying on my food plan for the most part but getting in "real" exercise has been a challenge. I am sooooo out of shape that right now any activity that I do that raises my heart rate for a prolonged time period I am considereing exercise. I used to do the 30 min. WATP tape every day. I am going to have to work into that slowly again.

Hope you both are having a good day.

Hi Dore and Debby. I didn't get up in time to check in this morning and the site wouldn't come up after school today on the school computer so I've just now been able to check in. I had a pretty good day. I tried a new video called Walk and Kick (Still a WATP video). I wasn't crazy about it. Okay for a change up, but some of the moves didn't feel right for my knees.
Dore it sounds like you have taken on some of the most important goals and it is definitely working for you if you have already lost 4 pounds. And yes, you might be worse off if you are a loyal Browns fan! Panthers have had a few seasons when I've almost been embarassed to be a fan!
Debby, Just Say NO! I know if's hard when you are cooking for others, but you have to put your mind in control of your mouth! Good job getting your water in.
I'm going to try to head to bed early. My throat is hurting.

Hey Ladies, Just thought I would check in. Dore, I'm so happy for you. I have not weighed since Friday but I do not expect anything. My daughter in law has a terrible cold so I have been cooking for the family. Not a good idea! I really want this but my mouth is determined to do its own thing. emoticon I am trying to keep pushing myself though. Your successful days do help to keep me motivated. I am going to try signing in reading testimonies as soon as I come in, before I do anything else. Will let you know how that works for me. Meanwhile, Keep up the good work. Think Healthy! Vicky, where are you? I haven't seen you today. Hope you are having a wonderful day. Gotta go to bed. Good night. Oh yeah, I did get in my water today! emoticon

I have not tried for the water aerobics because the place is at least 10 miles away. We do have a Curves in town but right now I think I will stay closer to home and get this old body moving around the place. When I know that I can do the more strenuous exercise I will look into Curves.

I have three simple things I do as goals. Drink my water, get 20 min of exercise and eat healthy.

It is working as I lost 4.2 lbs. last week. Monday is my official weigh-in day. It is a good start for me and I am pumped to be at this again.

It does matter and I need to be healthy.

Morning, I hope both of you have a Great Day! No water aerobics yet. The first place I went to only has an out door pool so they are closed til March. The YMCA closest to me is the same. I did find one Y that offered it but only two nights per week, Tuesday and Thursday, my worst nights. They are also quite aways away. Maybe walking will have to do for now. Gotta go! Talk at you later! Debby emoticon

Good evening ladies emoticon

It has been a good day so far. Dh and I ran around town today and did errands. Then we came home and tried to do lots of work out in the yard. While I live up in the usually very cold north land, today it was in the forties and the snow is just about melted. So we decided to work outside and clean up from our last very bad wind and snow. We have several large branches down and we wanted to get them cleaned up. I worked around moving most of the wood to a central location while DH tried to get the saw going. No luck. But for me it ended up being a 45 min workout. I counted it. Right now I am feeling it. But it is good for me so I will try and do some more tomorrow if we can get the saw going.

Food intake has been good. When it just Dh and I, I cook differently and in smaller portions. This being just us is going to help me a lot.

Hope you both had good days.
Debby how was the water aerobics?

Morning Vicky, Yes I'm ready for another day. Gotta go better than my yesterday. Sorry about the Panthers. They've done much better than the Jaguars have though. emoticon I went over to the base yesterday to check out the time they open this morning. On my way now to check out the water aerobics class. Will feel you in later. Have a wonderful healthy day! Talk at you later. Debby

Hello Dore,Yes I'm ready for a new week. I had a terrible Sunday but today is a new day.My husband was a truck driver also. I tried to stay up a many a night until he came in. SNACKING kept me awake! Bad habit! I find myself doing the same thing when I am trying to stay awake now, so I go to bed! Today is my off day so I am just getting up. I believe I am going to have to try a different diet plan. Too much fat in lo carb recipes I think. Counting calories may be a better option for me. We'll see. Hope you have a wonderful day and I will talk at you later. Debby

Good morning! Are you ready for a new week? I am. I didn't exercise over the weekend so I am looking forward to getting right back into it today. Hope you both have a great day. Make sure to make healthy choices today!

Good afternoon ladies :)

My husband is a truck driver and is often gone for long periods of time. He is generally always home on the weekend. So when he gets home he wants what he calls "Dore time". We often take walks together or just sit in the family room and watch tv. Sometimes we will run errands together. But he wants one good breakfast a week and it usually Sat.

Last night was a hard one. I tried to stay up until DH got home from his extra trip this week. It ended up being a lot later than I thought. I slipped into an old habit of eating to stay awake. Caught myself and was headed to bed when DH came in. So even though I slipped up I feel like I made progress because I cared enough to stop a bad habit.

Doing better today. Son and his family were here for lunch and instead of a big heavy meal I made home made Beef veg. soup. Enjoyed being able to spend more time with the family than in the kitchen cooking.

Well hope that you both have a great day and will see you again tomorrow. Have good days at work.

Hi buddies! Did you have good thoughts for my Panthers yesterday? If so they didn't work. emoticon They lost miserably. But since I grew up in PA and my 2 PA teams (Steelers and *Eagles*) are playing today, life goes on.

I had a pretty good day yesterday. My schedule was completely wack so I ate a little strange, but still stayed within my calorie range. I did eat a few too many of my mini pretzel snack while the game was on, but I tracked them and was in range so I guess that is okay even though I should have spent those calories on another fruit or vegetable.

I don't usually get to exercise on Saturday so nothing different there. Probably won't today unless jumping up and down in front of the TV counts.

Debby I completely understand about the french fries. They are definitely a big weakness of mine. I'm not excusing you, but I understand! emoticon At least you are out there working them off today! Someone told me that when it is something you can't resist have one bite and then remember that all the other bites taste just the same, but that doesn't work for me. One bite just makes me want one more and one more...

Dore sounds like you had a really good day. I' blest in that my husband is pretty self sufficient. During the week he pretty much takes care of himself. Sometimes I cook but we aren't home a lot at the same time during the week so I can cook healthy, eat salads or whatever I want.

Have a great day!

Count your blessings!

Dore and Vicky, Good to hear you stayed on track today. Weekends are hard for me. I worked but got off early. There is nothing else to hold my attention so I snack. Today my daughter in law cooked some Hooters Wings and home made french fries. I can eat the wings on the low carb plan but not the potatoes. I had my wings and a salad for dinner, then I watched some television. My nephew called from out in Vegas and I must have talked to him for over an hour. Next thing I know I was popping french fries! Truly unintentional! I feel terrible because this is the second day of challenge and the second day I didn't stick to plan. I am going to bed now but tomorrow I have got to take control of myself. Dore, my daughter moved 5 hours away back in November. She took five of my granddaughters with her. They used to live with me so I am still trying to get used to them not being there. I had so much spare time after they left, I was thinking too much about too many negative things. That's what prompted me to start hanging out with friends. I now am trying to find a water aerobics class that starts around the time I get off from work. Time to concentrate on me for a change. I already gave myself to my family the first half of my life. emoticon Now if only I can keep that thought in my mind, maybe I would stop this habitual eatting.

Good afternoon team mates.

Saturdays will always be a late post for me because my DH is home and he wants a full breakfast and my undivided attention until he gets started on his project of the day. LOL

My first day of the challenge wasn't too bad. I managed to stay on my plan for most of the day. My DH got home earlier that he thought and so I ended up having to fix a meal for him. I was just going to have a salad. I am still excited and looking forward to the challenge and the journey of getting healthy.

I have some walking tapes here at the house that I am going to try for a few minutes each day. I don't live near any place that does water aerobics. So I am going to take it easy until I have a large bit of this weight off.

You both sound so busy. I am a stay at home wif3e and I used to baby sit my granddaughter every day. But they have moved 8 hrs away and now I have all this time on my hands. Its not bad though. I am finally getting some "spring" cleaning done.

Hope you both have a great weekend. I may not post tomorrow as we have family coming over.

OH...I remembered you said you were separated. That's why when you said date, I thought you meant DATE. I think if your friends are being supportive and you make relatively good choices like you did yesterday you should keep going every month. You deserve it!

Dore - How was your first day of the challenge yesterday?

I'll be tied up most of the day today but I'm sure I'll at least peek in later to see how you are doing. Our Carolina Panthers have a playoff game tonight. I'm not going and may not even be able to watch most of it. I work Saturday evening at a part time job at a movie theater. It doesn't pay much, but I've worked at theaters for many years and it sort of gets in your blood. Anyhow, if you aren't Arizona Cardinals fans, maybe you could put out some good thoughts for the Panthers because I am a big Panther fan!

Have a Super Saturday. Try to get some kind of exercise today.

Count your blessings!
Vicky

oooh, Maybe I shouldn't have called it a date. Two of my co workers and I go to the movies and dinner once a month on pay week. Because of all the Drama in my life, they have been trying to keep my mind occupied. Its great because I never used to go or do anything. I've been separated since November 07 and these girls have been such a big help. Problem is, they LOVE to eat! That's what we do. Of course last night they ate like I did, and have been very supportive with my decision to diet. Temptation was there though. I might have to cut dinner down to once every other month! emoticon Gotta head out to work but I will talk at you later. Oh and before I go, Have a Wonderful Saturday. Dont forget your water. THINK THIN and HEALTHY! emoticon emoticon (I love these emoticons)

I think you did really well for going on a dinner and movie date. Sounds like except for the 2 slices of bread you made really great choices. But when I said I wanted to hear about the date, I wasn't JUST interested in what you ate. I'm trying to get to know you, remember. So who was the date with? Was it a first date or someone you have been seeing for a while. Did it go well in a social way? Spill... emoticon

Dore and Vicky, I had a pretty good day...until I got to Carabbas emoticon I skipped the popcorn and soda at the movies, I had the salmon and green beans and skipped dessert, but, I had two slices of bread! I stayed there to long. Should have left after dinner or even eaten something before I got there. Didn't get in all my water either. I need one more glass but I have to work tomorrow so I need to go to bed. I didn't do too bad but I didn't do REAL good either. Tomorrow I will make up for today. Hope you both had a wonderful first day. Talk at you tomorrow. Debby

Hi Debby and Dore - Just a quick note to say that I hope you both have had a good day so far and I'll check in again later. Dore, have you tried water exercise at all or do you have access to a gym with a pool that you could try it? When I first joined in April, the only way I could exercise was in the water. My arthritis in my knees had gotten so bad that I could barely walk. The water is really good because it helps to take the weight and pressure off of your joints. Even though I am able to do some walking and other things now, I still do the water aerobics because I love it.
Congrats on the 7 pounds so far. That is fantastic. My tracker moved down like crazy this week (13 pounds in all) but that is only because I had put on a lot of fluid weight with the holiday 3 week binge. I do not lose actual weight nearly that fast. More later.

Count your blessings!

Hey team! emoticon

Well since I started on Monday I am down 7 lbs. That is sure amazing. Now lets see how this coming week is going to go.

I don't have a problem getting in my water or eating healthy, but I have a bum knee and am finding it hard to do almost any form of exercise. I hurt it back before Thanksgiving and it is just now getting to where I can really do more the hobble around. Putting weight on it is better too. BUT - I am not giving up and am still looking for something I can do that counts as exercise.

Have a great day ladies.

Wow Debby! You sure get up early. Good for you for doing the boot camp video! And I can't wait to hear about your date! emoticon

Dore and Debby - I'm so glad that we are on this journey together. I had a great exercise and eating day yesterday. My holiday weight has just fallen back off this week and I am so happy about that! Now I want to jump into this challege with both feet and start some actual losing again - not just relosing! emoticon Hope you both have a really great, really healthy, really active, really nutritious 1st day of our challenge!

I forgot to answer the question about posting the weight. You don't post it on the chat thread or here. From the main team page just click on January Buddy Challege right under the Challenge Forum title. It is the same thread where you went to say you wanted to join the buddy challenge.

Hi Dore and welcome to our little buddy team. It won't let me change the title of the thread, so please know that you are wanted and welcome even though your name isn't on the title. Debby and I just started getting to know each other, so you are joining in at just the right time! I actually remember when you joined our team a few months ago. We are going to try to keep you motivated this time.

Hi Debby! Hope you had a good walk. You will have to tell me the title of the beef and broccoli recipe that you made if it was that good. I guess I can look it up to get the recipe, but want to be sure I look at the right one. When I first started taking my water pill at night, I did get up quite a bit. My body got used to it though and while I often get up once at night, I still think it is better than having emergencies at school during the day. Sometimes it is hard enough with trying to get in my water, the pill would just make it worse.

Count your blessings!

Hi Debby and Vicky :)

Thanks for letting me join your group. I officially returned to Sparks on Monday so this challenge will be a good incentive to stay the course. My weather is such that I can't go out to walk so I have been doing whatever I can to stay moving indoors.

I look forward to getting to know you and working with you to loose this weight.

Well, my day went well until I came in and made the Beef and Brocolli recipe I found online. It was delicious! I should not have eatten as much as I did so I'm going out for a walk. I will weigh in the morning. Should I post that here or on the chat room page so everyone can see? Have a good class and if I stay up late tonight I will look for you. If not, I will talk at you tomorrow. Debby

HI Debby,
I really thought I responded to this, but maybe I just read it quickly this morning before coming to school. Just wanted you to know I had stopped by. I answered a couple of emails first and am out of time, but I'll stop in later to check on how your day was and tell you about mine! Got to get to water aerobics right now.

Count your blessings!

I wish I would have checked here before I sent you the email! I am so happy I really found it! Doing fine in 2009, sums up my life perfectly! emoticon
I plan to go tomorrow to sign up for the water aerobics or atleast join in on a class to see if its something I can do. I still have not been able to fit a thirty minute walk into my day. I know thats terrible. I'm happy to hear you made it to your WATPs, every little bit helps. It was very windy hear yesterday also, hopefully the weather will allow you to do your walk today. Does taking your water pill at night have you getting up through the night a lot? I take mine in the morning and am going all day! I am on my way to work now. Hope you have a Great Day and talk at you later. This is going to be a Very Good Year! I will weigh in the morning and we can REALLY get started. Talk at you later. Debby

Hey Debby! You did find it! Yay for you. You are getting better. Yes I went to water aerobics. I love it! I didn't do my Walk Away the Pounds today though. We do it after school and today the winds were very strong and we lost our power right at the end of the day so everyone went home. The VCR didn't exactly work without power so I opened my blinds and worked in my classroom for a while and then left myself.
I know what you mean about the eating and drinking schedule. Sometimes I get so busy at school I don't take time to drink my water and I'm trying to fit in 6 or 7 glasses after school gets out and then I'm up a lot at night. I also take a mild water pill at night. The doctor recommended that I take it at night because of not being able to run to the bathroom a lot during the day.
I didn't get your e-mail yesterday. I sort of wondered why I didn't hear from you. Glad you found this today! Hope you have a great day too!

Count your blessings!
Vicky

Hey Vicky, I found it!

Did you get my email yesterday? I hope to have my page this weekend. Got in my 8 glasses of water early today. Its ten before eight and I am done! How are you doing? Did you make it to your water aerobics today? My son tells me they offer it at the Base near where I live. I want to try that. Hope to be more on track next week. This week has taken a lot of effort to eat and drink on time so Im not up all night. Guess what, I don't think I saved the message I sent yesterday so you may not have gotten it. Im getting better though. Have a Great Day!
