Here I am! WOW! Snow! Off to the doctor this morning. Feeling better--hopefully I am well on the mend. Want to add some walking to my days but not until I know this back isn't going out again.

Hope your Mum gets home today!! Be back later!

I surely hope your Mum gets home tomorrow too. But just be careful out in that snow. They are calling for some flurries in our area too and I have to go to the Army Base to see my doctor. I am NOT looking forward to that--people drive nuts.

Hope you had a good day. Sounds like the kids had a ball in the snow! emoticon Mona

Hi Sue and Dore--Just want to make sure I am clear on all this. From now on we post our weights to the "weigh in" thread and use the February Buddy challenge just for friendships.

I am sure I will flub up many times along the way but I really need that accountability to post weight each week. And I am also sure there will be weeks when I do perfect that NO weight will come off. For me it is all about the accountability with a trusted friend and group.

Thanks Sue for all your hard work. I can't imagine keeping this all straight!! emoticon Mona

Am full of cold today, bad throat, trouble swallowing and a tight chest. Dad has shared with me, keeping it in the family..lol
No walking today as it is making me cough. I am dosing myself with hot lemonade and honey with parecetamol.

Lot better to be the sciatic nerve than a kidney stone. Just take it easy and listen to your body.

having gd again on Friday night overnight, and then on Saturday night I am going with dil and her mum to see the touring show of Strictly Come Dancing( like your Dancing With the Stars). That is one of my Christmas presents from eldest son and his wife. We went last year and had a great time.

Glad to hear your Dad is feeling better. I am sure breathing in all that coal dust through the years does something to your body.

I feel much better myself today. I quit all that pain med as I was really out of it! Not sure if I told you they decided it was my siatic nerve and not the kidney stone. They said the stone was too high in the kidney to be causing that much pain.

Will back off on the stretch exercises for a while but will do the walking. Will keep up the freggies!

Glad we are teammates for February. Hi Dore. Look forward to chatting with you also. Have a great day.

Hi Mona,
dad was a coal miner for 40 years. That is why this chest infection has been so bad. They gave him really strong anti-biotics, he only has to take one a day they are so strong. Dr says they give them to miners because of the dust in their lungs. He feels lots better thank goodness.
When I visited mum she slept for the whole 3 hours visiting time and just woke up said hello and went back to sleep. So I left her a note!!

Have you seen I have kept all the teams together and added new ones to it? Haven't heard from Cindy and she didn't weigh in this week, so haven't put her or a few others in it. Asked them to contact if they want adding. I have put Dore with us(Nanna2one)

Well done on the 8lbs so far in January, I have lost 3 so far, but I am aiming for lb per week(52 for the year) so I am on track..lol

I am still tracking water and freggies, and doing 20 minutes a day exercise. I think I may go mad and up it to 30 minutes, how about you?

have a good Monday, see you later
hugs

Looking forward to the February challenge. So far I am down eight pounds for January--and we still have one more weigh in. Hopefully I can do some walking this week. It is to be warmer. Sorry your family is ill. You are a good Mum!!! Glad you had a fun time with your GD. I bet she loves being with you. Who is a miner in your family? My husband that died was a coal miner in western PA. Hope everyone is feeling better. Take care! emoticon Mona

Hi Sue I have had a terrible week due to kidney stones. Not over eating just being miserable. Mostly couldn't sit up--only comfortable when lying down. I really want to stay in the challenge--I enjoy this group with you so hope we can continue here. Have fun with your gd. I see the urologist today so not sure what he will say or do. Will post my weight on Friday. Take care. Sounds like it has been a busy week for you.

gosh, can't believe it is 4 days since we have been here. Sorry, ladies
The week is going okay, have stuck to my food tracking and drinking the water, the exercise not as good as it could be. We had snow for a day, so didn't go out then, and then I had another attack of IBS, that's quite a few lately, then it will settle down and be okay for a few months!!
Having gd overnight on Friday, ds bringing her after school, they collect her at 11 on Saturday morning as she has a gymnastics class at 11.30. Kids are so busy these days aren't they?
Hope you are both well this week?

Great job Mona emoticon

Yes Emma is our grandaughter, youngest sons daughter. Eldest son and wife have been trying for about 6 years with no luck, sadly.

I did knit the cardigan for Emma and of course it has to be pink. Her mum always said I am not dressing her in pink, and what is her favourite colour?..lol

I just noticed the beautiful sweater. Did you knit that? I love to knit too. Is Emma your granddaughter? I have an Emma too. Made each grandchild a special knit outfit as babies. Started with an airplane sweater and a firetruck sweater since they are growing.

Small world, my cousins daughter lives in Milton Keynes and cousin lives in Leighton Buzzard not far away. I was getting off the train in Milton Keynes last year when we went for a visit.
Lets hope we all post a loss( or a maintain) tomorrow, whichever team we are on

I guess because I was in London and saw the system there I thought it was all over UK. My friend's mum lived in Milton Keynes and she always took the train for her travels. But that is outrageous for your son to have to pay that fare each day. It just seems that with all the stress of energy prices that everyone would realize how great a really good public transportation system would be. Oh well.

I am hoping for two pounds tomorrow. But I will be happy with any loss. I have done well with my eating and added the exercise today.

Poor Prince Harry is at the vets today--he is being neutered and getting all his puppy shots and a micro chip. He will probably be very unhappy with me but I wanted to get it done right away.

That is so great that your Mum did well at home.

I am going to be doing some needlepoint today. I wanted to get my house cleaned this morning so I could finish a pillow top for my daughter Nicole. It is really pretty--a star fish. She is the one that lives on the ocean.

It is to be VERY cold here this weekend--down in the single digits. Houses in SC just are not equipped to stay warm in that type of frigid weather. I am so thankful we have the gas fireplace. It keeps it very nice. So I plan to be inside working on my needlepoint, quilting, and maybe even a bit of cross stitch.

Hope you are having a good week Cindy and keeping as warm as possible!!!

Feel better from that cold, Sue!! Take care. emoticon Mona

Mona, trust me the transport in this country is dreadful. It is great in London and Manchester and that is about it. In our market town we have 1 bus an hour in one direction and 1 an hour in the other. To get to my parents, which is a 20 minute journey by car, takes a 3 hour round trip and 4 buses. If you miss a connecting bus that adds an extra 30 minutes.
Trains stop at the least excuse, leaves on the line, wrong kind of snow, these are all genuine excuses given by the train companies, I am not joking. We have to pay a fortune for train fares. My eldest son often travels by train to work as it takes him 2 hours each way to drive and he is shattered. He pays 25 each day(about $14) and hardly ever gets a seat, there are never enough carriages on. I think at the prices we pay we should be guaranteed a seat.
OOPS, that turned into a rant didn't it? Off the soap box now..lol

I am making soup today as well and it smells lovely.

Hi Cindy, don't work too hard.

Last day before weigh in, think I have lost lb, hope it is still gone in the morning..lol

Have a great Thursday

When put like that Sue I probably did walk at least a little bit. I have been out walking around with the puppy too so that adds on a little bit more.

It just amazes me how people get along so well without a car. Of course UK makes it so nice with their fabulous tube, bus, and train system. I loved that when I was there. I don't think I would ever have a car. Our public transportation really is non existent in my area. They do have some buses but with the economy the way it is they have cut out a lot of the routes.

I am making some soup for supper. Using up the ham bone from Christmas and adding potatoes, carrots, and cabbage. I love a boiled dinner.

Today I have been feeling REALLY hungry so I hope that means another pound is falling off.
emoticon

Send me some of your exercise energy! I just need to do it!!

Have a great day! Cheering you on Cindy--know you have a very busy schedule!

Mona, I bet you did more walking than you thought at the drs. I am not a purist that only counts it as a walk if you are setting time aside for it. Walking is walking. Did you walk up and down corridors and through the car park etc. We don't have a car, so walk 1/2 mile to get the first bus and 1/2 mile when off one bus to the place to catch the next. Plus then when we come back, and mum is right at the back of the hospital and it is almost a mile each way down the corridors. Then we went shopping and it all adds up. it is moving and that is what counts. I try to do a bit more each day, but that is tricky the day after I did 5 miles...lol

Pleased your dh got on okay at drs.

Just had a boiled egg for breakfast and we are having roast pork with 4 veggies for dinner. The crispbreads with wafer thin ham and salad for tea. Plus a banana and a pear for my snacks.

Walking indoors today as thick frost outside, I am going to do 3 miles with the WATP dvd( if I can)

Tomorrow we will walk outside as we are going to pay the balance of our first holiday, we go on 6th April and balance has to be paid by 23rd January. It is a 2 mile walk up a very steep hill, but 2 miles downhill coming back..lol

I even started with my dumbbells this morning, I had them just before Christmas and had built up a good routine, but with all the holiday disruption etc haven't done it for a week or so. Trying to firm up my baggy arms!!

Have a good day both of you

hugs

I am so glad to hear your Mum is improving. Once she can get home I know she will feel better. I'm sure it will be a big booste for your dad too.

dh had 6 month cardio visit. We share the same cardiologist and he is a terrific doctor. All is well for him on that front.

I have not done too great with the walking. Will try to get started tomorrow. This exercising is my most dreaded thing!

Take care. Hugs, Mona

finally, today mum's blood sugar is okay, it has been very low (2) for the last couple of days. They adjusted her meds which is fixing that and also is helping her tum. She is down to have an hours home visit on Thursday that was postponed from last week. If that goes okay they can set the home care team up and she can go home next week or the week after( fingers crossed)
Hope all was well for you and dh at the drs.

Cindy, how are you? Busy at work I expect.

I have walked 5 miles today with all the running around today, so certainly got more than my 20 minutes in today..lol
Also as we ate out, I just had soup, no bread and will have chicken and salad for tea.

Westies are lovely, but have a lot of joint trouble and a few allergies. If they didn't have insurance it would cost a fortune.
Tummy is settling a bit fingers crossed.
Mum is in hospital because she had a ne knee on 5th Dec, but everything else went wrong. Meds gave her a bad tummy then diabetes went haywire and so it goes.

Great work on getting out of the 300s, now we have to get you down and out of the 290s!! I am working on getting out of the 250s. we will get there.

You have done a good job bringing your children up. I brought mine up alone from ages 10 and 7 as their dad cleared off. I met Ralph when they were both grown, but he had not been married before so has a ready made family now and they love him

So sorry that your mum is in hospital. I am sure that the inactivity does make her more confused. Dennis does well and is taking a medicine called aricept. He has gotten very forgetful about details and things like that and has become quite frustrated. But I keep telling myself that it is the illness that causes him to get a bit nasty sometimes. I am just thankful for every good day--and they are still way ahead of bad days.

We really considered getting a Westie. They are sooo cute too. But this little yorkie was advertised in the paper so we went to see him yesterday and that was all it took. Boy is he every lively. Hope it keeps Dennis hopping.

My children all live quite a distance. My son, Bryan is an attorney and lives with wife, Kim and three kids in Fairfax VA--Brooke, Emma, and Matthew.

Oldest daughter Lori is the closest-she and husband David live on the west side of Columbia. That is her daughter, Megan in the wedding picture. She is their only child.

Nicole, my middle daughter lives in Pawleys Island SC and she and husband Ken have three boys--Zachary, Ryan, and Nicholas. It is a beautiful seaside town and is marked as being the oldest seaside resort in America.

Youngest daughter, Krista and hubby Tony live in Cocoa Beach FL. That is their place in the one picture. They have no children and love to travel. They have been all over the world.

So they are my pride and joy. Their daddy was killed when they were young but they have all done remarkable.

So that is a bit of my family tree history.

I was down another pound this morning so was very thrilled to be below 300. Can't wait until Friday weigh in.

Hope you feel better! Take care. Hugs, Mona

That food sounds yummy. It won't make a difference if you get right back on track. I put lb on with dh meal on Friday, but it has gone now.

My mum is just under the alzheimer's radar, the dr that tested her said she is borderline. She is certainly very forgetful. Trouble is she has been in hospital now for 6 weeks and is getting worse as she isn't sure where she is or what is happening. If only we could get her home with familiar things it may make it easier.

We don't have a dog, but look after eldest sons sometimes, although last few holidays they have taken them with them. They have a Westie and a Jack Russell.
If I can get him to send it to me on-line I will try to get it in my gallery. That will be towards end of week as he is away on a course and very busy this week

Had a good weekend with food and water and quite good with walking. Sadly, because of working myself up over mum and dad, I had an attack of IBS (3rd in just over a week) Must be nerves as I haven't eaten any trigger foods. Have flare ups and then nothing for months.

Are your children near you? I love to hear of different places and people, was born curious (or nosey) I think...lol

I had a really nice time. We had baby back ribs, chicken wings, and all kinds of veggies and fruit. She had everything buffet style so my totals were a bit over but not too, too much.

I got right back at it today.

Your trips sound lovely. My middle daughter Nicole lives on Pawleys Island, just north of Charleston SC so we go to the ocean quite a bit. I love it. The rest of any vacations we take are usually to see our kids. My husband was diagnosed this year with early stage alzheimer's so not sure how much longer we can do any big travels. But he is still doing well.

Got a new Yorkie today. He is so cute--will try to get a picture up on here.

Take care! Hugs, Mona

Hope your hubby is better today!

Good morning
I had a quiet night last night, just me and the t.v DH had a migraine and went to bed at 5 p.m and stayed there until this morning. He gets them every so often and goes to bed for the afternoon and night and is okay in the morning. We had the new series of CSI : New York, so I watched that, and we have the new series of CSI on Tuesday to look forward to.

Mona, how was your night out? Hope you had a great time.

Cindy are you working this weekend?

Hubby is off until next Saturday when he goes back on nights(but only for 1 night as he then has a course to go on for 4 days) very confusing. He usually works 4 on 4 off alternate days and nights on 12 hour shifts. So if he books 4 days holiday(like now) it makes him 12 days off, which is great when we plan holidays to go away. This year we are having 5 days at a seaside resort in UK(6th-10th April) and then going to Austria (31st July-9th August) On my sparkpage is a photo of where we are going and the view from the hotel (I googled it). We didn't go away in 2008 and are ready for a break. The exchange rate with the Euro is rubbish because of the economic climate, but we don't spend much when away, just like to wander around and explore.
Have a good Sunday, see you later

Mona, have a good time tonight. I can't say I was very good but I did eat veggies..lol. Have been right back on track today though. we have to live our lives and sometimes that means being out in social situations. We have to learn how to deal with it. If we make the wrong choices, put it right asap. If we make the right choices 95% of the time it will be okay overall.

Cindy, how many of your children are adopted and how many birth children? You have my admiration and astonishment at how well you cope. It must take a lot of work home schooling too. Do you find that that helps or hinders when it is time for them to go and get a job? Do they have active social lives outside the home? Sorry if I am being nosey, it is fascinating to me. I love to see how other people live.

So glad you had a great evening. Now if I can just behave myself tonight at our little party.

Will try the 20 minute move challenge. This is VERY hard for me---mentally. I have gotten soooooo lazy!! But NO excuses. Move, move, move. Done well with fruits and veggies. emoticon Mona

Cindy--I am so privileged to be a part of a group with you in it. What a wonderful testimony you are. I am just amazed at what you do--what you have done and your desire to keep going. You are certainly an inspiration to me.

I do hope you can find just a bit of time for "you".

My dh is from Iowa and a number of his family members live in the Twin Cities area.

I know we will become great friends as we go through this journey together. I am all ready enjoying having Sue as a "buddy".

Take care of yourself dear lady and you will be in my thoughts and prayers. This is going to be a good year for us!!!

A new mini-challenge for this week, I would like us to move for 20 minutes a day. It doesn't have to be all at once, 2 x 10 minutes or 4 x 5 minutes if you prefer, just a walk or swinging your arms, anything to move.
Plus, hope you are keeping up with the water and freggies. Trying to get us into some good habits here..lol

Have you any mini challenges we could be doing? Post them here and we will give it a go

Hi ladies,
I know the losses don't show up on this weeks challenge, but they still count and you are both doing great. I have maintained since the week before Christmas so I would love to see a loss.

Cindy, you certainly have your hands full, one way and another. I can see why you don't have much time for yourself, but think this is exactly WHY you should make some time. If you go off pop, that will help no-one. Take some time just for you each day, even 10 minutes to have a soak in a bubble bath or read, anything just for you.

Well we had a lovely time last night, me and dh, 2 sons and 2 dils all at the Thai restaurant. We all shared a starter, lots of spring rolls, sesame toast, prawns, veggies and dips(plum sauce and sweet chilli)
Then I had tiger prawns stir fried with lots of veggies and a chilli sauce. I don't usually have dessert, but last night I had ice-cream and a piece of chocolate bd cake. How naughty was that? But, it was delicious. However, I promise I will be tracking my food from today and back to my walking each day.
Later on today, I will put pictures of me and dh on my page, but it will be later as I have lots to catch up with
hugs

I had decided to use Monday as my official WID for my tracker but I weighed again today for the challenge and I am down 3.6 pounds since Monday! I know it does not count here and may mean that my loss this week might not be as grand but I am excited anyway.

Mona, I am a mother of 6 and just find myself way too busy trying to meet their needs instead of mine. I work nights at a hospital and only work there every other weekend Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mostly because I am in so much pain from all the walking and bending I have to do that I can't work more. I need to work more tho as kids go off to college. I also do a home care night job typically on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. He is 23 year old and on a vent. I have been taking care of him since he was in 1st grade. Finally, I do mystery shopping to help make ends meet.

I and Dan have been married for 27 years. Dan workers as a senior computer programmer. He is very supportive and protective of me. We live in the Twin Cities of Minnesota.

We have a son who is 34 but we do not see him anymore due to some poor choices he made that we did not want to affect the younger children. Our daughter is 19 and in her second year of college. She is deaf and has challenged us with medical concerns periodically with the last major one being paralysis after jaw surgery 4 years ago due to a virus that attacked her nervous system. After 6 months of daily physical therapy, she began to slide her feet and slowly beagn to walk again. Our next child is a 19 year old girl from Korea. She joined us when she was 16 1/2 after her parents were deported. She is in her first year of college and lives at home. Charlet is our daughter from Paraguay. She is 17 and challenges us with hormones on overdrive. She wants a boyfriend so bad that, I fear, given the chance, she will do anything to get one. She has written notes that are an open invitation to boys saying that she knows "you will stand by me if I get pregnant." We homeschool all the children (except of course college) but with her we feel the need to monitor her every move. We have been dealing with this since she was 10. Michael was mt patient in the SCN. He is now 15 and although he has never been diagnosed, he has many characteristics of a high functioning autistic child. Lacynda is also from Paraguay. She is 14, a competitive dancer and what I call a "valley girl." Not so interested in boys but wants to be sure she is fashionable for her girl friends. Rebekah, 13,was a surprise and is very much like our oldest daughter except she is hearing. She challenges us in finding challenging schoolwork. We were contacted to have her take her ACT's last year in 6th grade due to state testing results. We did not because although she is bright, she is still young.

Although we homeschool, I am frequently in the car delivering Mary to college daily, taking the three youngest girls to school for band, choir and orchestra, church activities, dance, ice skating, scouting, helping with 6 weekly paper routes on Tuesdays, and private music lessons.

Add to that the laundry, meal planning, dishes, grocery shopping, etc, after working all night and grabbing naps as I can, I am just too tired to take time for me to exercise. Something has to change but I need to work because we are behind in bills. The bills are less and less each year but I have to keep working in order to get rid of them and pay for college.

My problems lie in not getting sleep and lack of real exercise. I think that as I lose weight, I may regain some energy because I won't be worn down from
carrying around 2 1/2 people every step I take.

I am good at eating what is prepared for me and drinking my water so I plan meals and my husband prepares them for us. I say us because there are 5 of us following SP meal plans. I think that as I lose weight, I will have more energy and motivation to prepare meals myself. Right now I just hurt too much to be on my feet and it would tempt me to be in the kitchen.

I was diagnosed with MS 5 years ago. For a while there, we were medically cahllenged every 15 months which was the breaking point after we had already spent over $60,000 in adoptions. My oldest son was in a plane crash in March of 2002. I was diagnosed in August of 2003 and Kathryn was paralyzed in October of 2004. Each one of these kept me from work for a month or more. To top all that off, our son decided that he wanted his inheritance early and defaulted on his school loans for flight school making my husband have to pay for them as the co-signer. They had mounted to $135,000 at that point. We were informed in Feb of 2003 that we would have to pay $573 per month for the next 20 years. That crushed any hope of retirement before age 70. Live and learn. You would never think a child would do that to you but that is nothing compared to the words spoken.

Anyway, that tells you a little about who I am. I used to enjoy reading, knitting, cross-stitch, and biking but gave all that up for the children 16 years ago. I really want to recover my body, my time, and my life.

I did post my 2 pounds on the challenge forum. I hope that was right. I promise not to be such an air head once I get used to where I am going. This is such a fun group and I have enjoyed chatting with several members. Feel like I have been here more than just five days. Have fun and enjoy!!!

I was down 2 pounds this morning. I am VERY pleased since I just started on Monday. emoticon

I hope you do really well with the bd. We have a neighborhood get-together on Saturday. I am going to eat a salad before I go and then just take a bite of whatever is not TOO outrageous.

I am really still excited about the program. It is so good to have someone here to share with. The entire group seems really nice. I am looking forward to hearing from Cindy. Hugs, Mona

Here we go ladies.
My first temptation is tonight as it is dh's bd (50)and we are off out with the family for a Thai meal. I usually share a starter and have a fish stir fry and no dessert, so fingers crossed it doesn't hurt.

Have posted on buddy thread with the teams, if you can copy and paste great, if not just post them on there and I will add them.
Just had fruit salad for breakfast, so a good start to the day.
will be off most of the day now, out doing bd stuff, so will have everything up-dated by Saturday
Have a good day
hugs

Hi Cindy, yes we have a few teams with 3 on now. Glad you are okay, forgot you were on nights. Should have remembered as dh has just finished his on Monday morning.
We haven't ordered in advance, but we usually go to this restaurant for special bds, so know what they have. I share a starter, and have a fish stir fry with loads of veg for a main and never have a dessert, as I am full.

The water 30 minutes before a meal works for me. as it takes 20 minutes to get the message to the brain that it is full so it starts feeling that way, before you start eating.
I have had fruit and/or veg at every meal, usually have fruit salad at breakfast.
Have lost lb since Christmas, sadly that won't count on this as we don't start until tomorrow.
Please post your starting weights on Friday on the main Buddy challenge thread and I will sort it and post them in a table on Saturday ( allowing for time difference)
Good luck girls, we can do this
hugs

Hi Sue! I'm not on much when I am working nights. It just depends on my patient load. Anyway, I am off now for a few days. Work really cuts into my life, but then so do kids, laundry, dishes, meals, grocery shopping, etc. Wait, maybe that is life. I should say, all those things really cut into my personal time, my free time, my fun time, my me time. Actually, I have never had much of any of that on the last list. Anyway, I have been tracking my food and staying focused. How about you? Are you drinking that water before meals? I usually drink two glasses with each meal to help my tumy get the message to the brain that it is full. I'll try it 30 minutes before to see if that gets the message there faster. I see there are some other posts from another member. Are we a team of three now? I haven't read the whole thread yet. I just wanted to get on and let you know I still exist. I worked last night so will go to sleep this am and try to be on later tonight and really catch up. Have you called the restaurant for the BD celebration and planned what you will eat in advance? I have a co-worker retirement tonight so I am going to try to do that. Drink that water at the restaurant. Remember, we have to stick together in this. TTYL. Cindy

Hi Mona, great to see you here
Work first: to get a tracker, go to your page( even if it is private I think it works) click on edit page and go to bottom of that page, you will see a box with your starting weight in from when you joined, under that you click on pick your tracker and scroll down to one you like, same with icon. you can also click in the same box to show your tracker on page. then at top of edit page click on SAVE CHANGES or you have to do it all again. I know, I have done it and lost everything..lol
We are posting the starting weights and the ones after that on the January Buddy page and I will sort them out from there.thanks

Now, I am Sue, 55, live in UK. DH and I will have been married 10 years in February. He hasn't been married before and he had no kids so inherited mine. I have 2 sons(31 and 28) and 1 grandaughter aged 5 (from the youngest son) I son't work outside the home any more, but worked mostly in catering, although my last job was an optical assistant in a local opticians.
If you get over to the UK again, give a shout. We went to London in October to meet a Spark from Virginia Beach.
Both my parents were in our RAF, from 1947-1950, they were just too young to be in the war.
see you later, hope Cindy shows up soon, not heard from her, hope she is okay and not ill.

Hi Sue and Cindy! Success all ready--I made it here!

My name is Mona and I need to lose 130 pounds. I am married and my husband, Dennis is retired from the US Air Force. We both lost our first spouses in accidents and I have four grown married children and he has two. I have 7 grandchildren and he has 6 so we share all 13. We have been married 14 years. I am 61 and live in Columbia, SC. I am originally from Punxsutawney, PA, and then moved to Florida after my first husband died. Lived there for 21 years. I miss it but now I am close to two of my daughters here in SC. I love yorkies and we are looking to get a puppy in the spring. I have tried every diet known to man and lost 1,000's of pounds but this time I really want to do it forever. I love UK and spent time in London and then traveled through Scotland--home of my ancestors. I look forward to being a part of this team. I am still confused getting around the site but I won't give up.
My current weight is 303 so I understand that I will weigh again on Friday and post it here. I would love to do one of those little track things--maybe you could help after I get more into this. I am almost through day 3 and doing well. Will apply your two suggestions. Thanks!

Hi Cindy,
thought I would set up a couple of mini goals
How about eating at least 1 fruit and/or veg at each meal and drinking a glass of water half an hour before each meal?
Let me know if you have any

This is the page for Cindy and Sue to chat, cheer on and motivate each other.
Cindy, I would save this page in your favourites as it will be easier to find when we need it, especially when all the others set theirs up.

I think we should have a mini challenge each day as well, something simple but effective, like making sure we have at least 8 water a day. Are you up for little changes to make a bigger change?
Only a few more days until we start, so am going to start planning my meals for a week at a time to help with shopping and lessen tempting things in the house,

Of course the day we start is dh 50th birthday (he's a toyboy..5 and 1/2 years younger than me) so we are out to a Thai restaurant with the family next Friday, straight after weigh in!!! At least it gives me a week to work it off..lol
see you later
