Oh yeah, even though I had to work a bunch on the election I have been doing this on average 3 days week. Slow and steady, I am up to a steady 200 crunches and 200 twists. No weight loss to brag about but an inch lost...and better yet, it hasn't come back yet. Time to take the habit and add to it.

Anyone else still going with this challenge?

I haven't noticed yet, but I do have a stronger core. I need to get a little more consitant with them though...

Today I did 60 crunches, 20 reverse, and 60 crunches with twist (30 on each side) for a total of 140.

Well, I started a week ago with 4 sets of 25 crunches...mixed in with some exercises for my lower back. As of yesterday I was able to do 2 sets of 50 crunches. Hoping to do those consistently for a week and I'll try to do them all at once.
I have 2 pairs of pants I just bought at the thrift store at the beginning of September. They look great except for being a bit too snug in the waist. I'm hoping to be into them by the time I go back to work next week. Hopefully this will help with that!

Yes, I know. I did put my pedometer back on today and have a pathetic 2400 steps even with a trip to the grocery.

You know, with osteoporosis and osteopenia, when I hurt my lower back I have a fear of spinal fractures. I know if I had gone to the doc she would have ordered Xrays and MRI, pain pills (which I can't tolerate), and then physical therapy. I've been through this for 30 years (yikes! Am I that old now?) so I would rather treat this conservatively and be patient while I heal.

I did my 100, the first 40 with hands 6" out from my hips and the other 60 cradling my big head. LOL. I never realized how much my head weighed. Maybe that's why my scale shows me heavy. Must be brains.

I finished my exercises, ending with the 100 crunches. I found that they are harder with my hands down at my sides, about 6 inches from my hips. I can do 60 in a minute that way, then I rest a minute and do the last 40.

I didn't quit this challenge, promise. My back went out after the trip to Houston and then sitting for 16 hours in those awful chairs at the class. I am going to exercising the muscle relaxer way until I can at least feel my feet again. LOL.

Do them any way you wish. I had to start out doing mine in shifts, interspersed with leg and arm exercises. Now I can do all 100 without stopping, as long as I do them in continuous motion rather than pausing for a second at the top of each crunch. That's my next step in this challenge.

Are you not able to join the goal or are you not able to record your crunches?

If you can't join the goal, then you need to leave a message with the "Techies" on sparkpeople. Go to "message boards" and find board on technical help. Leave a message - they are pretty good about getting back to you.

like I said, you can only go forward once you join - your crunches won't be counted until after the date you joined the goal.

You need to sign up for the goal - simply click on "join the goal" next to our team goals. Each day go to "other goals" under "view sparkpoints" and record how many crunches you did. I have found that you can only record the goals AFTER you sign up for it - you can't backtrack on the days before you adopted it as your goal - kind of irritating.

I do tracking on other teams - I am betting others on this team do it too. All you need to do is "join the goal" and then record it each day. Sparkpeople gives you a point each day for tracking it.

I tracked all mine too. Some of this tracking is a pain, but I am very diligent about tracking my food intake. I skip the exercise tracking a lot. I'll try to keep logging the crunches, though.

I went back and tracked all the days I did them BECAUSE I need to see how it all works. I DON"T want this to be a chore though, so back track (lol) it if you want, if not just go from today forward. The goal resets itself on the first of the month so I figured the rest of the month will be a learning experience for us all and next month we will be ALL OVER IT!

On the day I didn't I entered 0, on the day I did 125, that is what I did. So, put 200 for the day you did 200 and 0 for the day you did none, that way you can track you own progress.

I just changed it. I was thinking 100 times 10 people...so as a person we each have a 100 per day for a goal, as a team we have 1000 per day for a goal. But I can see the confusion.

OH and I figured out how to add the last few weeks too!

Got it all input, so far we are only averaging 300 per day, Slinkie you have the most consecutive days so far!

Don't forget to post when you complete your crunches so I can add them to the numbers.

OK everyone, I set up the team goal of 100 crunches a day. We need 10 team members to do their crunches and post their progress on this thread.

It doesn't appear that I can track all we did before this week, so we are going to have to just move forward. It may take me a little while to get the hang of the team goals but I'll get it, promise. Give me a couple weeks to get the hang of k?

Did mine.

I have an overstuffed ottoman and I actually used it instead on the ball...feels like day one because I am sore but I know that is because it is working better.

As long as my back doesn't start hurting from it I am going to keep it on the ottoman.

I don't know about that! We walked at a nice brisk pace for 4-1/2 hours! I got my crunches in, too, when I got home. My back was realy hurting from walking, so I did the reverse crunches. For some reason, they just felt better. I'm still sore and tender, but can also feel a difference, so it's worth it!!!!

Got my 100 in the other nite (like I said I would!), plus I got my 100 in for yesterday. Have 25 in so far, but that was after a 1.6 mile walk in 24 minutes! Will at least be getting tons of walking in today; am taking my 13 year-old niece shopping.

Ye, I AM the favorite aunt!!!
