I started off the December challenge great and did it for the first eight days and then it was all downhill. I just need to get going again .. there is no reason I can't take better care of myself...I hate being so immobile and it seems to take so long to see results...but I won't give up....each time I fail I just need to keep trying and not be too hard on myself.

With December coming to an end I have to say I did not do as well as I wanted to. It started out good and then it all went out the window. Very little exercise all month and lots of bad eating. However I usually do a lot of baking for Christmas and give out tins of yummies, but this year I kept those temptations of really over doing it by making friends and family large fruit baskets.
I Cant wait for the new year and all holidays to be over. My husband and daughter say they are going to get on board with a healthier lifestyle. Maybe I can get them to eat their veggies...LOL and have someone to walk with.

Personally, I can't do the floor exercises just yet. But I have been doing at least 20 mins of calisthenics and very low impact cardio since Dec 1...That has been huge for me considering my weight and pain issues...not to mention motivation...also I have been doing more fruit and veggies and trying to limit sweets and fried foods...it is hard to keep going when the results don't show...peace and much much love...SV

Game On! I saw this article and thought "I should try that". Usually I save the things I see like that and when I'm particularly motivated, I try something new. Well, this particularly motivates me! It's dark when I get home from work and not far from dark when I leave in the mornings, so I haven't had the time I would have liked to run. This is awesome! I'm In!

I love that everyone is so motivated to follow this challenge and to loose weight despite Christmas time. Welcome (back) to those who are restarting or who are starting with a new healthier lifestyle now.

I decided not to only follow this challenge, but to also make me a second advent calendar (I have a chocolate one every year emoticon - I guess I am still a child when it comes to christmas time LOL). This second advent calendar consists of 24 small boxes (so I can use them again next year) with little cards that have a certain exercise on them (like 20 push ups three times a day). To make myself accountable I am only allowed to open my chocolate calendar if I have finished my exercise of the other one. emoticon

I need to get off to a new start; I haven't binged and have been watching my portions but haven't made major selection changes yet, or followed a "PLAN." I am starting a full-time job Monday after years of not working due to my disability, but I'm eager to work!! It will also help me to buy better quality of foods, YAAY!

GREAT idea!

I can't do anything 2 days in a row without injury, so I will be alternating 28 day bootcampt workouts with Fit, Firm and Fired UP and Cardio Blast.

I'll check in with you all next week to let you know how it goes. This task helps me stay on target with my goals.

WooHoo December!

emoticon Glad to see some new names joining in on the December Challenge!

I see there are some of you that cant do this challenge. So I Challenge you to look again at the 12 Moves of Christmas and on the moves that you CAN"T do replace them with moves you CAN do, and do them in the same manner of counting down the reps. We definitely don't want anyone hurting themselves. Do what YOU can!!

If this still will not work for you then pick a challenge that you can do.
Something you can be accountable for to yourself.

I hope to see everyone post and let us know how you are doing throughout the month. I cant wait to see how we all finish 2012. Lets make it count!!

Happy Holidays!

Starting December 1st I shall be drinking more water, drinking V8 instead of soda and sweet tea, and eating the number of calories I should be eating a day. I know it's not an overly extensive challenge, but to not go to soda and sweet tea is going to be a pain in the arse.

December 1st will be a new start for me. I will exercise, eat more fruits and veggies. Also, leave the snacking and cravings alone. This month I plan on losing twenty pounds or more. This my goal for this month. Hi everybody!

I just checked out the link to 12 Moves of Christmas and I gotta say I won't be joining in on those. I see hospitalization if I try most of those moves!
On the "what am I going to do in December?" front, I have signed up for my first 5K for tomorrow December 1st. I figure that is a good way to start the month, and I have to see what happens from there...

Right now I am just sticking with my norm, don't seem to have much time to get on other than tracking food and fitness. No way, no how that I can do the 12 moves of Christmas, not with my knees and sholder! When I get more than a moment I will regroup and get creative :D Hope your doing well!! Happy Holidays! Oh yeah, I did fantastic for Thanksgiving, stayed within my goals!! WOOT! WOOT!

Here is a Challenge for those of you that want to participate. Lets see if we can do this along with our fitness routine at least 2 days a week.
This will incorporate cardio and strength training together.

Prevent Holiday Pounds with the 12 Moves of Christmas Workout!

The holiday season has officially started, and you may have already noticed your fitness routine start to slip a little. To keep your motivation high in the crazy days ahead, we've created this fun, calorie-blasting cardio and strength circuit workout. The 12 moves in this routine don't require any sort of equipment, so you can do them anywhere. (No more excuses for skipping out on exercise during holiday travels!) Plus, did we mention that it's FUN? This workout constantly switches from one move to the next, so you never have time to get bored.

To do the workout, start from the top and work your way down the circuit. Go immediately from one move to the next, completing the number of reps (or minutes) listed next to each exercise. Move as quickly as you can to get your heart rate up and burn more calories. If you're a beginner, try the whole circuit one time through. For intermediate or advanced exercisers, do the whole circuit two or three times through.

This fast-paced routine may be just the ticket to help you avoid gaining those pesky holiday pounds this year. So, what are you waiting for? Blast your favorite festive tunes and get in the spirit while you sweat. Don't forget to Pin, Like, and Tweet to share with your friends! Happy Holidays!
