When we hear toning we automatically picture someone lifting weight and sweating. But the truth about toning has been greatly ignored.
Although lifting weights is a good way to keep toned, there are other ways to accomplish this "TASK"
1- Walking with added ankle and wrists weights: These small 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 pound weights can be strapped around your wrists and ankles for added resistance. This will force your muscles to work a little hard with every stride.
2- Lifting heavy is not the only way to get toned : Lifting heavy weights is one way to get toned, but lifting lighted weights can have the same effects. And is always best to start off with smaller weights when beginning a strength training program.
3- Mixing it up: Mixing up workout exercise program is the best solution for keeping your body from hitting a weight loss plateau. I always introduce new exercises into my routine every 3 weeks or so.
