Great question and the answers that you got were right. It is healthy to have a little amount of fat on your stomach ( this amount should not form rolls standing or sitting).
You said that your weight has gone up but your measurements are the same? Well this means that you are slowly replacing fat with muscles. And remember that muscles weight more. So its normal for your weight to rise a little and that your size wont change.
Give it some time and by time I mean 3, 4 even up to 6 months before seeing some real definition in your muscles tone. And for the scale to start descending this could take from 1 month to 3 months. It all depends on your metabolism. We all lose at different rates.
But dont worry if you are consistent with your exercises and you eat healthy you will see results. Be patient and NEVER GIVE UP SPARKFRIEND
