I am still coughing and not feeling well, so I hate to get out and about. This morning I was listing gifts I have and those I still need to get or finish making. Wow. I have soo much to do and need to get out to shop. Instead of stressing over what I can't do right now, I decided to do what I can so the things I could be doing don't pile up with those I can't. emoticon

I got my second brain back! Our IP Server went with Google for email service, which does NOT work well with Outlook, so I could not use it for email anymore. I was also using the Outlook calendar and tasks and contacts. There went all that ease when I was no longer on there daily. Then today I finally realized I could essentially shut the email part down, setting it to work offline only, and leave it on all the time so the reminders pop up. It is working great! No more birthday's slipping up on me. emoticon

emoticon Keep up the good work of making sure to take care of you while you are stepping up to fill the need of the moment. Hugs.

Yesterday I spent a lot of time writing and did not get things done I wanted to do. Stress was relieved when I decided to trust God with the day and refuse to fret over things left undone. God always faithfully empowers me to get needful things done in due season, so why let worry wear me down.

Psalm 46:10 puts it this way, “Be still, cease striving, let be and know (recognize and understand) that I AM GOD. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth!” (See KJV, NASB, and AMP versions of scripture)

I have been stressed with taking care of everything since DH's surgery. DD's puppy misses her and wants attention, and I am up and down the stairs a lot for DH. I am getting worn out. I took a nap yesterday to refresh so I could deal with everything better.

I have been stressing over catching up the checkbook because I was behind in it. The bank somehow did not make a transfer of funds that is normally automatic and I did not catch it in time because of being behind. Thankfully we are set up where there are no charges for overdraft transfers, so that was not an issue, but I knew it was going to make a lot of work for me, all those little transfers of funds to get in our books. Yuck!

What I did:

I just did it. The only way to get past that stressor was to set myself down and dig in. That is what I worked on all day yesterday. It took all day because God intervened in the stress of it by sending several interuptions to draw me away for a bit and give me a break from it. I see that now as I look back over the day. Anyway, it is done, and all balanced out. Now I again am praying to find a way to keep up with that even when things get crazy around here.

I had a small thing that got under my skin today that really bothered me. There was miscommunication between our Pediatrician's Office and our Pharmacy that was really frustrating and was a big waste of time. I allowed myself to get angry for just a bit. Then I released it to God. I put on some good praise music while I did the dishes and then did Leslie Sansome's DVD "Walk Away the Pounds - Five Really Big Miles" for 75 minutes. I was also able to delegate some of my other chores to my family members which allowed me to get the exercise done. I am so much calmer and relaxed as a result!! Thank You Jesus!!

Now it's YOUR turn! Name a stressor you had (If you had one, that is. I know there are some that NEVER let stress get to them or have just learned not to sweat the small stuff. If that's you - more power to ya!) Next write how you chose to get over that stressor..or if are you still in it and need prayer, please let me know and I will pray with/for you!!!
