I have 3 races in June. Two 5K races I will be running, the other I will be walking with a friend. She's not a runner. However, I do need to find some knee compressive sleeves. My knees are very achy right now after running yesterday!

to all you ladies for setting a great yet healthy example for those of us to follow! After not being able to run my 13.1 last year from a broken toe, I am setting out to accomplish it this year...my first 13.1 in 13'...I will DO this ;)
Plan...5k end of June, 10 end of July then 13.1 mid-Sept.

One of my 2013 goals is to complete an Ultra Marathon, so I've registered for one in early April. It's a 50k (31 miles) so a good place to start! I'm excited! If I love it, I may end the year with a 50 miler, who knows!
Establishing goals is the way to get it done! You can do it!

Conquering "13 in 2013" is a considerable feat that has officially becomes a seriously audacious goal... I've mapped out how to conquer this goal before the end of June 2013.
As of today, I've committed to 3 bling-bearing virtuals (5Ks), 2 out-of-town events (5K & 10K), and the Polar Dash (10K). That's 6 of 13...
Memorial Day Ridge Run does not bear bling, but it marks my 5k runniversary. That's 7 of 13... ... I am NOT afraid of the half marathon distance goal that I've set for my self... once I find some discount codes, my 1st 1/2 will be in March ("Get Lucky"), my 2nd 1/2 will be in May ("1st Midwest"), my 3rd 1/2 will be in June ("Allstate"). That will make 10 of 13...
3 to go... Shamrock Shuffle (8K)? Soldier Field 10 miler (16K)? Disco Dash (5K; my BGR exposure anniversary)?
I am actually going to get this DONE! Moreover, I will do this injury-free, for the fun of accomplishing a personal goal on each run, and for no one other than ME!!!
