While it is a bummer to not have a group already established in your area, consider the option of being an ambassador/run coordinator in your area. You don't have to be a track star or triathlete... you just have to be willing to set/honor a date, time, meeting location, and route for weekly runs.
When I started with BGR, I had no plans to coordinate runs... now I coordinate 2 of the 4 days that I run each week. I suggested a route in my neighborhood that had some features our seasoned runners were looking for as they prepare for the BGR national event in September. The route I suggested has hills & winding roads, and since I was familiar with it, I was asked to coordinate the runs.
You will be surprised at the number of women who are willing/able to run at the same time that works for you. Give it some thought, pray about it, and if you are remotely interested in learning more about getting started send me an email.
