Today, although it is almost 10 pm, I pledge not to let illness such as this crazy sinus infection and accompanying severe cold, trick me into abandoning my nutrition goals. I am eating healthier than ever, more fruits and veggies than ever, lots of nutrients! The vitamins should be glowing in an aura around me! So though I am down physically and yes, psychologically this evening, I will take care of my body in a healthy manner. This is my pledge today.

That's a great goal! I had trouble with this one too and I found that it really helped to drink my water out of a Nalgene bottle with the ounces marked on the side so I would know exactly how much I was drinking and how much more I needed to go.

Tomorrow 5-9-12 I pledge to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner and to be consistent on walking my favorite beach front and bridge--round trip is 5.2 miles. Also, MAKE SURE TO GET IN 10 - 8 OZ GLASSES OF WATER!! I pledge to walk my dog at least 10 minutes a day. I hate to exercise, but know that it is one of the keys to weight loss and being healthy. I hope to increase it :0)

I have Lupus and always struggle feeling tired...but if I get enough rest I am more likely to eat better, exercise, and stay focused on being healthy in general. So my kickstart pledge is to get at least 8 hours of sleep a night, plus a nap if I need it. I had lost 35 lbs. with the help of SP a couple of years ago, but found it hard to keep up momentum when my lifestyle kept me from getting enough sleep. So I am ready to get back on the horse.

I could use some encouragement though. I have always been an early riser and exercised as soon as I was vertical. With sleep being so key to my wellbeing, I need to exercise during the afternoons. I miss working out first thing in the morning, but sleep it will have to be. It will be challenging changing years of habit but I want to stop fighting against the tide.

There are times when I have to use a wheelchair and so I am just thankful for the chance to exercise most days. But if anyone knows of cardio that I can do from the floor, when I am sick, that would be great.

Thanks for the opportunity to join in the discussion. I think it was something I didn't take advantage of last time I was on SP.
