I sent my husband out yesterday for a protein bar b/c I had forgotten to pack snacks for work. I woke up this morning with a migraine. I didn't read the label, it probably had sunflower seed oil in it, which I'm 7/10 reactive on an allergy scale.
I packed 2 Oskri coconut bars after I took the excedrin migraine, and vowed I would read any label before eating w/e it is.
Starting this challenge over tomorrow.

I'll join you on this. I also have migraines that are triggered by food sensitivities. I know most of the triggers but I still eat something every so often that has to be added to the list.
I actually have one right now, I'm going to have to head home after work and dive into a bottle of excedrin migraine, which I don't like to do but...
I thought I'd keep you company.
:)

Except for a chocolate doughnut at church today, I mostly did really well. :-)

By the end of the day, the headaches were still bad enough for me to realize, they may not be due to food allergies at all, but concussion from driving my bus on the bumpy streets here in the subarctic. Thankfully I have all weekend to rest and recover. :)

This means I don't have to be so strict with my diet, though I should do a little better than I do. I can do that. At least the pressure's off with the need to buy the groceries, right now. I want / need to clean out my fridge anyway! :) I'll take up the challenge to do as well as I can with what I have and then redo it sometime when I can buy the right foods! :)

I need to do this. My migraines are back, more than they have been in a long time. Food allergies. :p 10 days of very strict diet kept me headache-free for about three years. I know what I need to do, I just need to do it. Right now the trick is having the foods I need with a very low grocery budget until our van repairs are paid for.

I have some brown rice and I am cooking up my last can of tomatoes with brown rice, right now. I have some almonds and I know I have one can of yellow beans. That's about all that I have that I can eat. It won't last long. Posting here will help me stay accountable.

So, today, brown rice and tomatoes. I started my day with a hot chocolate at Tims and then made some potato salad and ate it. (one potato's worth). The only thing I was allowed to eat from that was the (1) egg in my salad. I then took a Tylenol, which I hate having to do, thus the need to do better.

And hooray, my tomatoes and rice are ready before I even get a chance to hit "post"!
