has started a grueling new job, driving a recycling truck. I've survived 14 days already and though there's been times when my future there looked less than dismal, I feel as though I've made it through the worst; one full work cycle since Christmas, which we finished yesterday.. Taking it one day at a time, which feels more like giant steps than Baby Steps, yet, I feel if I can make it through 21 work days, I'll survive with this company. I'm 2/3 through already! I think I can, I think I can... :)

Is doing VERY well each day eating my fruits and veggies and getting my cardio and strength training! I've been walking an average of about six miles per day, up to 8 and then my hip cried out and I've taken it easy today and only walked about two miles.

I'm also breaking in some new athletic shoes and as they don't cushion the heel like my old runners, that could have a nasty *impact* on my hip. All the more reason to back off a bit. My hip is so much better today, already!

I've been feeling human again for about a week after about four weeks of terrible respiratory illness and have a ton of catching up to do here at home and even in my work. My priority is my family/home and my health and fitness, so I get the time I need for that but sure don't get a lot of time for posting. Doing what I can and starting to feel fabulous!!! I'm out of work in about six weeks, and then I'll have more time to post, depending on what my next adventure is! It will hopefully include a trip back to Southern Ontario to visit family and friends! That will also depend on dh's job and pay! His mom just put a lovely monetary gift in our account and I'd love to see dh and the kids use that money to get back to visit his mom. She's not doing so well - perhaps partly failing to thrive with how much she misses us. :-(

I've also gotten our 14yos out walking each day! He needs the exercise and we enjoy the time together! :) One more thing to keep me away from the computer and needs to be done!

Seriously - 145 minutes of walking today! That's about 7 miles! Woohoo! I just have enough strength left to do some strength training and get ready for bed. 9 minutes past bedtime, so ...

Have a great night, everyone!

Oh, and veggie soup today, mixed with some tomato, cheese, rice casserole. mmmm was so good! Tons of veggies! I just posted my foods for the day, will have to count up my servings tonight if I can or tomorrow will do... LOL

I'm not doing too badly with doing my challenges, but I am not doing too well with getting them posted, here. By the end of the day, I'm just mush. I have been posting in the team goals, though! :0)

It's bed time and I'm tired - didn't do such a good job today, so ...

went and did 8 sets of 12 reps of lower body

and I did walk 3 miles today

and only one serving of fruit and no veggies - that I can remember. :p better than none, but not by much - but at least I know I did that much and that I have lots of room for improvement!

Another one hour of swimming which whether today is upper body or lower body, I'll count it! I worked both!

Plus I ate approximately seven servings of fruits and veggies.

Not bad. Far too tired to claim much more than that! Planning on sleeping well, for at least 8 hrs!

Hooray for a great day! What better way to start back into the 21-day challenge than:

an hour of swimming!

five miles of walking!

doing my full core workout!

and about ten servings of veggies today!!!

I met my goals for Calories, calcium and fiber! Woohoo! I need to get more iron and copper, but this is still a great improvement!

I'm BACK! Look out world! I've been on the side lines for too long! (^_^)
