It's finally cooling off here in Oklahoma and from what I've seen, just about everywhere else!
Are you running a race before the end of the year? Starting a new training plan? This is the time of year when I get back into the weight lifting and step up the cardio (so I can survive the holidays!). I like to be ahead of the curve and have good habits in place before the Halloween candy, Thanksgiving turkey and Christmas cookies show up!
I've been mentoring a teenage girl in my neighborhood, training her for her first 5K. I'm an early morning runner, school and dance classes mean we train at night (which I hate!). It's been much more tolerable (and I'm learning to like it more) now that it's cooled off in the evening. I think I'll sign up for my local Turkey Trot and maybe a holdiay run somewhere in there...
What are you doing?
Don't place your mistakes on your head; their weight may crush you. Instead, place them under your feet and use them as platform to view your horizons.
