Just thought I'd share this here. I have the book listed in the title. I wanted a collection of inspirational quotes and heard about this Oprah one. It's actually really great. I wasn't sure at the very beginning, but I'm almost done and know I'll go through it again probably immediately after I finish.

It's a collection of inspirational quotes from celebrities (eh...not necessarily a selling point to me) as well as authors, poets, doctors, meditation experts/teachers, etc. People from many walks of life. There are different sections like love, spirituality, gratitude, etc. They are all positive quotes that make me pause to reflect. I've been feeling like this has been my meditation lately, as for some reason I've been slacking on actual meditation for quite some time.

And if I'm reading a quote and realizing my mind is wandering, I keep reading it again and again until I can stay present through the whole thing and really soak it in - that can be very hard for me, so it's been a great exercise for me in that way as well. I just read a few a day whenever I have a moment to myself. There are many quotes I wanted to mark or highlight, but decided I'd just read through the book again and see if the same quotes moved me again, or if new ones stood out, etc. And, as far as the mind wandering, I've noticed this has helped me read some poetry lately too and stay focused and really absorb it and not just gloss over the words while distracted.

I always feel happier and more peaceful after reading a few of the quotes in this book so I wanted to share - If anyone else reads this let me know :)
