Make Losing Weight A Hobby

I SAW THAT I DID NOT HAVE WHAT IT TOOK TO STAY WITH A DIET. FINALLY I THOUGHT HOW I FELT ABOUT MY HOBBIES AND FIGURED OUT THAT I NEED TO GIVE MY SELF MORE ATTENTION THEN MY HOBBY SO I TRADE THEM PLACES IN MY MIND SO INSTEAD OF MAKING CANDLES I DO CARDIO .

Causes of Stress and Anxiety

Sugar can cause irritability and depression. You pancreas has to workovertime so dont use sugar as your pick me up, Also remember that fried foods and high fat foods and red meat will increase depression and stress.

Something we sometimes forget is to be a good friend to ourselves. So all that negative self talk needs to get kicked to the curb!

I would never tell a friend that their thighs are too flabby, or that their arms don't look good in a tank top.... l would them that all the work they are doing is paying off, and they look great....

So maybe you can tell yourself the same thing.

To all of you that need to hear it..... "I know your working hard, and even if it's only a few pounds, you look great!"

Don't you love this one!!

Money motivated

For every pound I lost, I put $5 in an envelope in a bureau drawer. If I gained a pound, out came the $5. I never "borrowed" from it. I only put in money when a whole pound was lost. When I reached goal I had enough to treat myself and my new body to a day at a spa!



Positive Self Talk

Telling myself I can succeed in my health journey gets me off to a good start each morning. I begin with prayer and telling myself that I'm worth everything I put into my program!



Glee for me

Every morning at 5 am the alarm goes off with a CD from the "Glee" cast playing. What is it about 80's Hairband music that gets you going?! Kind of cheesy, but it wakes me up and gets me pumped...And it doesn't hurt that the first song is "Don't Stop Believing"!

Found some good motivation posts today to share while reading from Spark's Secrets of Success:

Never Going Back!


In my room I have a pair of jean capris hanging on the wall that I wore at my heaviest weight, which was 100lbs ago... it serves as a constant reminder of how far I've come and that I'm NEVER going back to where I was!
