Good for you, Shirley! I was never athletic, nor were my parents. Looking back, I wonder if I'd been encouraged in some kind of sports, maybe I wouldn't have fought my weight all my life. I wish I'd have encouraged my kids in sports. I'm one heck of a spectator, though! lol I am a New Orleans Saints fan clear through to my bones. I'm also an LSU Tigers fan. I'm told our basketball team will bear the name Pelicans soon, so I will have to learn about basketball now. lol Win lose or draw, our local teams are mine and I love them.

Tim Tebow is my favorite athlete because of his Christian testimony.When young I did track low hurdles and running.I also played basketball and was great shooting goals.I also played softball in thr neighbord hood games and was so good the boys let me play on their team,The only female.Excellant pitcher and batter but I was only 15-16 then.Now I'm 77.Love the stationary cycle at the Y though.Reminds me of the hours spent riding my bike.I am thinking about buying a three wheeler.

I never have been athletic. I'm the short, klutzy thing that was always picked last for teams in school. I enjoy watching college basketball - especially Weber (Weee-ber, not Weber like the grill) State University in Ogden, Utah. Now that's one good team. We saw Damian Lilliard play in a few games last year, before he was picked by the Portland Trailblazers in the 6th round. Damian played in their opener this season, and showed he is not intiminated by the NBA.
