Thanks for the challenge to write! I had done only a few blogs before that and I made all 31 days. Now I think I can create blogs more often...maybe even every day. It has me connecting the nutrition and fitness process into my whole life. The principles concerning food, exercise and rest apply in other areas, of course. Putting those ideas down "on paper" helps me be more consistent and accountable. Thanks again!

I walked the park with my dog today. Then came home and did some yoga and my Dr. Oz ab exercise for day 1. If I can do at least 30 minutes along with my yoga and or strength training, I will be on my way.

I lost 2.8 lbs this week. I exercised Monday 1 hour and Thursday 30 minutes at the doctors office fitness room. I was going to go on Tuesday but they closed because of the snow storm. I also caught a cold so Thursday was sick but still went and did 30 minutes. I was still sick on Friday so did not work. Did work yesterday 3p-11p. I stood up for part of my shift. Because I was sick I was not able to eat like I normally do so that helped.
This week I am going to try to only eat when my stomach says I am hungry and only eat a small amount at a time. I am going to stop obsessing over what I eat and how many calories. Nothing will be off limits. I just have to be sure I am truly hungry before I eat anything and then measure the amount. I hope this will help me get over the cravings and will want to eat more healthy. The more I tried to watch the calories and what I was eating the more I ate. I am not a big fan of veggies and fruit but I can eat them. If I stop obsessing about substituting veggies for junk and just eat what I want when I am truly hungry maybe I will naturally eat more veggies. I will be buying more veggies tomorrow. I am also going to try to buy less junk to have around. My biggest problem is that junk food is grab and go but veggies require preparing unless all I eat is carrots and celery No more food ( except fruit- so kids don't eat it) in the bedroom. If I want to eat anything I will have to go downstairs to get it. I just have to make sure anything I buy to eat is veggies because the kids will not eat those. They eat fruit and meat. The only veggies they eat is corn and white potatoes.

This is great challenge. Blogging can really help me understand where I am at any given moment and what I need to change. I do exercise at least 3 days per week. My eating is not the greatest but I am working on finding the best way to eat so the cravings become weaker and the desire to eat healthy foods become stronger. I am going to try to eat small portions every couple of hours and try to eat slower to see if that will help.

This is a team challenge we can all join in.
