I started doing 30 minutes daily the end of July, four months ago, and slipped a few days lately.... I know how many so I am trying to "catch up" with hourly sessions to make up the "slack." Did an hour on the exercise bike.....

I've been away from SP for a while - just found this note in my SP Email. Is the challenge still going????

If not - thanks for the reminder that I need to get back to exercising.

I am going to consider scrubbing down a shower stall yesterday close to 45 minutes of exercise....didn't time it but I certainly felt it after!!! emoticon

Second day of bulb planting went much better and now it's all done. Today my husband and I raked and bagged leaves for our annual "extra insulation" along the north and west sides of our little house. Three hours of that activity was just right. Yesterday we also did strengthening exercises toward our goal. It's a struggle to make ourselves do those, though. We'd much rather do garden or yard work than lift weights.

On Thursday I way-overdid with gardening all day...lifting heavy plant containers, putting in bulbs, digging, weeding out the garden beds, etc. So I took a light "walking day" yesterday. Today there are more bulbs to plant (with my aching muscles) and then I can relax and make a potluck dish for tomorrow..Yay. (P.S. Must learn to be active daily in moderation!)

I also have to exercise within my doctor-prescribed limits---and I finally followed through today with a 40 minute low impact aerobics class! emoticon THANKS, TEAM!

I really like the Spark People videos that are short - about 10 minutes each as I can fit them in whenever I have 10 minutes. I have a fitness break instead of a sitting break.
There are also some seated workout videos for people who can't stand or get down on the floor.

I did four videos today (upper body, lower body, 2 for the midsection) after I did my walk and bike ride.
I feel sore but good.

At the end of the day, be able to look back and say "I did my best today."

I will do exercise within my limits and not do more than I am allowed. I will do as the doctors say and work my way up! I can do this, right? Right!

Hi! My exercise goal is to walk for 55 to 60 minutes at least 5 days a week. This past week I did it for 6 days. Even though I didn't want to walk a couple of times, after I started I felt a sense of accomplishment and did my entire 5 laps through my subdivision. emoticon
