I slipped off goal for the past few days so now I have to get back and DO IT. so my goal today was to get 10 glasses of water down. So far I have 6 so I think I should be able to get the other 4 in as I have about 7 hours before bed.

Well, I didn't get to walk yesterday, cause it got too hot, and didn't cool down enough outside for me to go. But I did work in my yard for over an hour, raking and pulling weeds, so was at least active. Goal today - go to the gym and try to do 30 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of strength training.

I met my goal yesterday! Today's goal is to walk my dogs tonight, 30 minutes. I am feeling so much better, but I am still trying to take it slow, so I won't overexert myself and wind up with another RA flareup! Also, I have lost another pound! Yay

I kind of skipped out on this last weekend, but am starting anew today. I did meet my goal on Friday, and stayed within my calorie range, in spite of going out to eat Friday night. While I didn't lose weight over the weekend, I did maintain, which has always been something that I struggle with. My goal today is to go to the gym for the first time in months. I am going to do a very light workout, 15 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of strength training. Still working my way back slowly, cause I know if I overdo it, I could be out of commission for months yet again.

I conquered that too much fat problem today. I also ate within my calorie range. the third goal I had set for myselt today was to do 30 minutes at least of cardio - done.
I also added strength training today.
One of tomorrows challenge is to get sodium intake down to under 2300 mg. That's a hard challenge for me.

My challenge today was to keep within my calorie range. I did it with 22 calories left that I could have used but didn't. I will do this again tomorrow but also I wll try to reduce fat to the allowable range.

My Pic-A-Challenge-A-Day for today is to set a meal schedule and stick to it. The reason: today is the 52nd day of being unemployed. I set schedules to do certain chores at certain times and on specific days in an effort to keep some sort of routine going...as if I had a job to go to. I get up at the same time of day and do things so that I am not becoming one of those people who just drift during this period of my life. My one problem is that unlike work schedules I don't make myself eat on schedule. Some days it seems like I starve before I decide to stop and eat...other days I seem to graze all day and lose track of exactly what I ate. Yes I am logging food so I end up having to wrack my brain to remember what all I ate. Anyway, today my Challenge is to physically figure out a schedule for meals and snacks, and write it down...then follow it. I figure I should probably also figure out the number of calories per meal/snack so I have that as a guideline too.

PS today begins my second year with SPARKPEOPLE - which feels very good!

This challenge is for fun and gets everyone on the team involved.

It can be a food, exercise, stress relief, self improvement, motivational, positive attitude, etc. challenge. Anything that makes our lives and health better.

Once a day, each member of Healthy Hearts is invited to post a one day challenge of their choice (in this forum). It can be as simple as "Say Thank You to Someone 5 Times Today"
