I added an extra fruit/vegetable today by bringing carrots for my afternoon snack. I have been really good about having a serving with breakfast and lunch and usually dinner but I am trying to add in other times.

* I need to get my mom's recipe for her homemade healthier french dressing. It is much better than store bought and better for you!

Do you have any dressing recipes that are yummy. I have already reduced to light ranch no fat or french. I dont like the vinegrettes or sweet dressings. Mari - help. Lol.

My favorite is to buy the frozen steamer bags when they go on sale for $1 and have them any time of day with or without a meal.

If you just plain don't like vegetables, you can start with a good low fat, low cal dip and then choose just one veggie to start. Cut up one serving and have it with the dip.

You can also puree cooked vegetables and add them to tomato sauces and soups.

I did an internet search for muffins made with vegetables and there many, more than I can post. Check them out when you have time.

Great Ideas. I have more or less already done the week one challenge when I set my mind to joing spark people. My question is any suggestions on how to get more vegtables and fruits in your day. That seems to be my biggest issue.

Week April 13th - April 19th

If you are still working on your Week 1 change, don't worry about week 2. Take whatever time you need....this is not a race and there is no deadline.


Replace your higher fat, higher calorie salad dressing by making your own lower fat, lower calorie dressing using olive oil

OR

Add one additional serving of fruit or vegetable to you daily menu.

OR


If you reduced your coffee sugar to "1" now reduce it to "0"


SIMPLE CHANGES = GREAT BENEFITS
