Weigh in today down .4 ..I'll take it I'm still bouncing around with the scale.
My Strength Training book has arrived and I've ordered a few things to get my gym together(they'll be here next week) and I should be ready to get serious about the strength training. I'll also take my measurements which I haven't done and a before picture, which I didn't do before starting the Simple diet and now regret. I'm excited to get started.
Lily/ Huntress thanks for the encouragement and advice This is the second time in 10 pounds that I've done the bouncing scale game but I WILL WIN....lol

Mrs ~ the strength training that my friend set me up with is one that if needed I could do at home (only one thing is with machine but could be modified or replaced) If you get the Spark daily exercise emails those come in handy. Lots of strength training options and they have videos with many of them showing you just how to do the exercise.

BTW the closer you are to goal the more your weight will bounce back and forth. Sometimes it takes awhile for your body to acknowledge that it will go lower.

Ah, okay so try that, adding/increasing ST. I bought 5lb weights from Wal-Mart a while back and use them in the house on the days I do cardio in the house. I think I might increase my weights from 5lbs to 8lbs too...not sure but try some ST and see how that goes for a couple of weeks.

I'm really inconsistent with the weight training. I have a book coming (it should be here tomorrow) so I'm going get a plan put together this week. My town is too small for a gym...lol

Same boat...how many days are you strength training? I am going to increase my reps. I ST 3 days a week, 2 reps of 12 but I'm going to start 4 reps of 12 this week. I had not changed my ST routine since February so it's def time for a change. I read today this...

"Since your metabolism naturally slows down as you lose weight, exercise is the obvious way to keep it stoked. You should add two to three days of strength training. As your weight goes down, you not only lose fat but also a small amount of muscle. Since muscle is critical to keeping your metabolism revved, losing it can reduce your metabolic rate and hinder weight loss. Strength training helps to preserve/build muscle and revs your metabolism."

I can simplify my life and lighten my burdens by deciding realistically what I want to do and what I have time to do. (~_^)

I was up 1.8 pounds for a total of 179.2 I seem to be bouncing up and down a lot, up to 2 pounds a day. I'm not sure what that's all about but I HATE IT go down and stay down damn it I seem to be working on the same few pounds for weeks at a time.
