Hi, glad everyone is seeing "happy numbers" on the scale! :) I achieved 2 pounds lost this week. Makes me satisfied, anyway.

Congrats on the 3 pound loss but more importantly.. congrats on all the things that you realized. That you don't have to be perfect to be successful and that it is possible to choose to go off and that as long as you go right back on... that is the key! And also for getting the exercise in!!!! I'm heading away this weekend and I have to keep reminding myself that just because I'm eating out is no excuse to go crazy. I can make smart choices even when I'm "off plan". Keep up the great work!

Week 2 weigh-in ~

I lost THREE pounds this week!!!! I'm so excited! lol

Now, let me explain why this excites me....

I took a day off the diet. I knew I wouldn't be able to handle going out of town and staying on track. This past Saturday, I ate out twice in restaurants that I shouldn't have been eating at. However, I was WAY more aware of what I was eating and I didn't eat what I normally would have let myself eat. I also didn't eat anything near on plan. Another day, I ate Pizza Hut, but limited myself there also. Then later in the week I ate a 1/2 cup of my Mom's homemade potato salad and later, I "needed" a snack while watching a movie and ate a serving of cheez-its.

Why am I excited?

1. I lost weight even though I ate stuff I know I shouldn't have eaten.

2. I limited myself when eating stuff I knew I shouldn't have. One serving and I was fine!

3. I rode my stationary bike 5 days this week and burned well over 2000 calories, and that doesn't include all the other exercise activities I've done that I'm not counting. In the words of Huntress, "It's just gravy".

This week has made me realize that I can totally screw up, fall off the wagon, etc. But all I gotta do is keep on truckin' and this weight will come off anyway! I don't think I've been this proud of myself in a VERY, VERY long time!

Happy Thursday all!

Great job on the loss Bay. Also it is good that you listened to your body and had another entree. Don't sweat the fruit/veg servings it is a minimum of 5 servings more is not a bad thing.

I have days where I am hungry some of it I think is mental but also if you are exercising a lot your body may need a little more from time to time. Better to have an extra entree or shake then to go off of plan and end up with many more calories.

Today was my very first official weigh-in. Not sure why my tracker on here says 5.6 pounds. I've lost exactly 6 lbs. Not sure exactly how accurate this is, though. I had to weigh myself 3 hours earlier than last week because of work schedule. Hadn't thought that part through when I started. I'm happy, but not thrilled. Last diet I tried, my first week I lost 14 pounds and 17.5 inches off my body. I didn't measure myself this time. Thought about it, but decided not to worry about it. My clothes are already a bit loose. Tiny bit...but more comfortable none-the-less. Also, I weighed myself daily this week, just because it was the beginning. I don't think I want to do that anymore. Just going to weigh on Thursdays from now on.

Got in enough exercise to burn 2049 calories. This, to me, is amazing. I'm getting better with the exercise and not nearly as tired after as I was at first. Haven't been swimming. Just using the stationary bike at home for now.

For the first few days I was stuffed full all day long. Rarely had any hunger pangs at all. Yesterday and today, I'm hungry almost all the time. I accidentally ate 6 1/2 servings of F/V today, but I know that's ok. Not stressing about that at all, especially since 3 servings of it was watermelon. However, I'm hungry again and feeling like if I don't get something in my stomach I won't be able to sleep. I'm going to eat an entree. I know it's ok to do it, I just feel bad about having to do it.

Anyway, week one is a success! That's 6 pounds I don't have to carry around anymore!

Hoping this coming week goes by fast. Will be having a pretty stressful week and may not have enough time to get all my exercise in. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can continue to amaze myself with my exericising!

@ IZEE52, thank you! I am going to try. Everyday I strive to do better. I agree. Just keep on the right path and the scale with move.

@ NDHUNTRESS, thanks for the suggestion. My measurements never seem to change unless I'm not measuring in the same place. The scale recently went up due to the dreaded monthly monster! I usually gain 5lbs or so and it is just hard to get off!

@ MRSVK11, thank you!

Ladies if you have not done so yet take your measurements. Sometimes the scale may not move but your measurements will.

Sounds like a reasonable goal and i can relate to your numbers so well!! I keep thinking if I keep at it, the scale has to move the right direction
