absolutely and I made it in bulk and was able to feed my kids and myself for a week

another thing i did with some of the turkey was turkey salad w/ light mayo and pickles on left over dinner rolls (in the same light as tuna salad and chicken salad) also easy idiot proof and kid friendly

(we had a metric ton of leftover turkey 3 adults and 2 toddlers and we got a 20lb bird)

Anything that's "idiot proof" is a good thing, lol!

after thanksgiving soup:(basically can be made with thanksgiving leftovers)

low sodium chicken broth(about 5-6 cups)
left over turkey(add to taste)
noodles(any kind this time around i sued elbow macaroni)1 cup
carrots and diced celery(add to taste)
diced pootatoes 3 small reds
dash of allspice
bay leaf
fresh ground pepper
clove of garlic

throw all raw ingredients in pot except for noodles (so when served are not overly mushy) and simmer for about 30 min

also chopping up the celery leaves and adding those into the soup adds a really great flavor

all in all this is a pretty basic recipe but comes out oh so good and is pretty idiot proof emoticon

I hate the cold weather but I sure do welcome the soup! Looking forward to browsing the sparkrecipes for new ideas! I've submitted a couple of my own, simply because I wanted a better idea on the calorie counts. :) That, in my opinion, is what makes soup so great - low in calories (broth-based), high in satisfaction!
