I showed a gain of a pound when I weighed in but I knew it was due to a late fast food meal the night before...too much sodium...trying to do better this week...need to up my water some more for sure...

Checking in, hope you all are doing well. I stayed the same again this week. I am going to have to re-evaluate what I'm eating. Adding the fitness minutes should have made a positive impact on the weigh loss and I think it is too soon to say I'm gaining muscle that is why the scale is not moving. I have added veggies to my menu but I am stil eating more carbs that is healthy for me. I guess my focus is going to continue to be the food, Have a great week.

The scale stayed the same this week. That is better than a gain, not as satisfying as a loss. I have managed to increase my exercise minutes without re-injury. The key is to take it slowly and not push myself beyond what I can do. I got a semi-private yoga class yesterday because of terrible storms in the area yesterday. Only 5 people attended the class that is usually 20 or so.

This week I'm going to really work on the food. chips, salsa and beer should not constitute dinner, LOL. Hope you are all progressing towards your goals.

Looking at the tracking thread I can see that I have a problem. The weight is creeping back ounces at a time. When I stop to think about what is going on I realize : I am eating more carbohydrates than I should, I am not tracking condiments, I a eating a minimal amount of veggies and I am having a glass or two of wine nightly. The only thing that I've improved in the last three weeks is fitness. I have started going back to the gym. My focus this week is to add more vegetables to my menu and to eat clean.

Hi ladies how is everything? I hate the challenge is ending but I still plan to check in as usual. This week's weigh in was very disappointing. I gained a few pounds and I know it was because of all the cocktails I have been having the last week. I have been working out this week and will try hard to get back on track and start seeing the scale go down.

Well I dropped 1.6 pounds in the last week (can I just round that to two pounds??? LOL) I'm feeling good but I haven't been working out like I should. Still watching my calorie intake and limiting my cocktails. I will focus on cardio this next week so hopefully I can see a bigger drop....

Last week my weight increased but this week I am back down to where I was after week 1. I watched my carbs all weekend and did not eat any sweets. I'm really trying to eat clean this week so that next Tuesday I will see another loss instead of gain.
It's like every other week I lose then I gain. At 230 pounds, well 224.6 now that's not good...

Looking forward to the new goals.

Good morning,
I have been MIA with so much going on in my life. Last week I gained about 4 pounds and was totally depressed. I am coming to realize that these spikes in weight are very likely water retention. I am not sure what to do about it My doctor had to take me off of my water pill because it was causing me to have episodes of gout. the replacement does not seem to be as effective.
@Cyipra- How did I miss that you are engaged? You can get into that dress by July.
@Temeka: I don't use the Sparkpeople meal plan. But I have much more success when I track my food regularly.

I will post week three of the Spring into Summer Challenge this evening. Keep doing the things that work for you.

It's so hard, but I am in it to win it! I think I need to make a list of foods to eat daily and stick to it. When I have a meal plan to follow it makes my life easier. I don't really like using the Sprark meal plan though I would rather make one up myself with food I know I will eat.

That will be my goal for the rest of the month.

Hey Tameka, you'll get back on track. I'm cutting back on carbs too.

My wedding date is July 4th and I am able to get into my dress but I can't zipper it so I need to lose like 2 dress sizes. I have gained 30 pounds since last July so I really need to get my head in the game. I will be tracking my weight a couple of times a week and letting go of my extra sweet tooth for smaller portions.

This was a pretty bad week for me. I gained back the 6 pounds I lost last week. I know it's TOM so I'm bloated and I definitely feel it but I also ate way too many carbs over the weekend so I'm feeling really sluggish and tired right now. I will get it together so I will have better results next week.

I like the goal for this week. I drink mainly only water daily. I usually get in 1 1/2 gallons daily. I don't really like pop (sometimes I crave one) and fruit juice makes me thirsty but I do try to drink cranberry juice a few times a week.

Today is Thursday which means the weekend is around the corner. Usually the weekends are when I overdo it but last weekend I was able to stay at the lower end of my calorie range so that is also my goal for this weekend.

I need this challenge too...I have been sick for the last 2 weeks so I have not worked out enough to mention...I am trying to get back on the bandwagon but it's hard...I need motivation from this site and I need to find a local workout buddy....easier said than done!!!

I'm so ready for this challenge. I feel in the last couple of months I have made huge steps towards a healthier lifestyle. For this challenge I want to concentrate on portion control and making sure I'm getting my workouts done at least 4 days a week.

My goal for the next week is to bring my breakfast and lunch to work each day and only eat out once, this includes the weekend.
