Successful July. I lost about a pound. Tracked food about 19 days vs only four full days in June.
I am wearing the heart monitor, but not using it to train by. I am training by pace and perceived effort, so I think the methods should be in the ballpark close.
Completed the C25k program, and started the 10k version. In the meantime, I found a free online trainer. I'm liking it as it gives me suggested pace for my runs, where the C25k programs just focus on time or distance (but not both). Completed the two week preconditoning phase in July. Two weeks down, fourteen to go.
Three weeks ago, I thought I wanted to run the Firecracker Five Miler on July 4. Then I injured my formerly good foot. My July will be much like Patrick's, about healing and regaining the ability to run. Oh, and maintaining; but I've done that through injury before. I'm not worried about the weight.

A few weeks back my primary goal for July would have been completing my first 10K, but with a very persistent Achilles tendinitis issue to deal with, that is not going to happen - maybe in August if it heals. This month will be all about maintaining and healing. Oh yeah, and getting my deck done!
