Great job on the donut battle. We are in control of the donuts and all things sweet. I knew Sparkpeople had an app, but I didn't realize you could scan barcodes from packages of food you eat. I have to check that out.
Fridays are "donut day" at the office. After four weeks of practicing all the great tips, from relearning to live without sugar, to making healthy choices for meals, I was able to sit through the meeting without reaching for a donut (or two!) And I didn't feel deprived. I think that was the biggest realization. No matter how good a sweet tastes on the tongue for a moment, it isn't worth the lifetime on the hips.
Long term plans for keeping on track is logging my foods with the new SparkApp on my phone. I just scan a barcode, and there it is in front of me.. my totals of everything I eat. When I feel like its snack time, I just glance at my Spark People page and make better choices than ever before (thanks for a great app!)
