I too am a baker. My three grown daughters are 'children of the gym' and do not eat sweets anymore. They will, of course, take the containers that I send them home with to work to share with the people that they work with.

I am going to take your advice and ask that no one give me chocolate for Valentine's Day.
Thank-you, it probably is just that simple. emoticon

I baked a ton of cookies and two cakes for Christmas this year. I mailed most of the cookies to my mother and sisters who live out of town and left the rest with the grandkids. I knew that if they were left in the house, I would just chow down.

As much as I love chocolate, I have asked that no one give me chocolate for Valentine's Day, just give me a card telling me why you wish me a happy Valentine's Day.

Hang in there!!!

Terry from Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Oh Nanna, this can be a tough time to control our sweet tooth, but I am so glad you came and shared your story with your teammates. For me, that helps me stay accountable when that chocolate or cookie is calling my name.

I wish you all the best!

Coach Nancy

I find that this time of year is really hard when it comes to controlling sweets cravings. There are leftover chocolates, cookies and stuff from the holidays and I think, " Oh I will just have one. Then it becomes two and so on." It is really scary when the chocolate demon strikes.
I have to make up my mind that the temptation is too great. I will get them into the recycle box and maybe the racoons will take them away. LOL

Now that I am gung-ho to suceed, the thing that has worked for me in the past is to have a glass of water every 1/2 hour (not an 8 oz. one) with a 4 oz. juice glass that is half full. That way my stomach is full most of the time and I meet my goal for water intake daily.
The water helps to hydrate me and for some reason it curbs my cravings for sweets.

Wish me luck on this new journey.
