10 days into my 1st Whole 30* challenge -- doing well, but still craving sweets when I see them. None in the house now so it is a bit easier. Using fruit as my sweet.

One of the many things that keep my sweet tooth in check is my calorie count for the day and if a sweet treat takes me over it. If a sweet treat will take me over my calorie range I tend to stay away from the sweet. I don't want to go over my calorie budget because I feel that I wasted a day of healthy eating on that one sweet.

it's difficult to give up sugar. It makes foods taste so good.
I've been told that brushing your teeth helps the urge, but I
haven't tried it.

I fight my sweet tooth everyday. It seems like I let it win too many times. I agree that it is addictive.

Sweet tooth is alive and raging!
Had chocolate covered raisins and almonds.
The good news is that after half a cup I stopped eating them.
Why? Started feeling sick.

That is the gift of being a SP member!

The TV is a big culprit when it comes to overeating and snacking. Not only does the TV distract you from what you are eating, but it has a host of advertisements pushing food from all walks of life. I avoid eating with the television on and if there is a show I like, I simply DVR it and watch it when the time is right. Doing that also gives me luxury to fast-forward all the advertisements.

I've been having kind of a hard time lately, so I came up with something that seems to be working so far. I started knitting! Hard to eat when your hands are full of yarn and knitting needles! Cracks me up because the day I started knitting a scarf is 106 degrees outside!

I started enjoying a large cup of tea with Skinny Girl Stevia drops and half and half.
That really satisfies my sweet tooth.
Guess tastes change over time.
