Commercials while watching TV with food being the ad does become a trigger. I like to get up and circle through the house walking as fast as I can during commercials and watching TV is a good time to stretch or do stay in place exercises and it is surprising what those few minutes will add to your tracker for the day. My tracker is the Fitbit.

I have a hard time watching tv commercials around dinner time. They are almost ALL about food. Now my family tries to watch everything off the dvr so we can skip commercials. The other way is to pause the tv, do something else for 15 to 30 minutes (take a walk?) and then fast forward through the commercials. Facebook drives me crazy now too but at least I can still scroll quickly past those food pictures.

Thanks Platinum! I cannot watch the cooking shows anymore either. AHHHHHH Last night I entertained my thoughts another way. I need to just turn off the TV and computer some days. Thanks for the reminders!

It take practice to start arming yourself using the your powerful tool, which advertising is attacking, you mind. Find the words, visualize your goals and/or visual picture you keep with you that will help keep you on track. It works!

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

Hehe the other day I was in a new gym, on the treadmill with a TV screen. A cooking channel came on and they were making chocolate truffle cakes with homemade vanilla ice cream. And the buttons to change channel were broken. It was like a special kind of torture!
