Bon Appetit!

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

There's nothing to be embarrassed about. I've always loved my fruits and vegetables and on my journey I've come across a few that I've never tried and didn't know how to prepare. If you haven't checked out SP's Perfect Produce, this is a good time to do so. It gives some good buying and storing tips along with preparing tips.

If I have a question about how to cook and/or serve a fruit or vegetable, I Google it! I think there is an article or video on everything.

Pomegranate is a favorite, but only available a short time around here. Lots of people will put it into water, but you don't need to. You can cut it into fourths and then turn each quarter inside out and scrape out the seeds. Some instructions say to whack the rind with a wooden spoon, but that doesn't work for me. I do find pomegranate juice stains EVERYTHING, so you may want to put down some newspaper and wear disposable gloves.

Kiwis are peasy easy, I just chop the top off and scoop the insides out with a spoon. Like eating an egg!
Mango is a bit more fiddly, but you can look it up on youtube (that's how I learned to cut them!) to get a proper idea of how to do it.
As to how I eat them, generally I just chop them up and eat them as they are. Love fruit! Or put them in a smoothie.
Have you had star fruit before? I've wanted to try them ever since I heard about them in primary school, but I'm now 25 years old and I've never yet been able to find one to try! I'm guessing they don't grow in the gloomy UK.

I know some of the basics... grapes, plums, apples, oranges...etc. But, I really don't know how to cut, peel, fix some of the other fruits. Kiwi? Pomegranate? Star fruit? Mango? Passion fruit? How do you eat these? How do you cut them properly? I didn't list all of the fruit I question, just some of them. So if you want to add some to the list, feel free! emoticon
