THIS WEEK I MANAGED TO CONTROL MY SUGAR CRAVINGS BY EATING GERBER GRADUATES AXELROOT COOKIES TO REPLACE REGULAR COOKIES, ICE CREAM MADE W/ SPLENDA, AND EATING MORE FRUIT. I'VE BEEN TEMPTED TO EAT OTHER SWEETS BUT I HAVE MOSTLY AVOIDED IT.
I READ ABOUT SUBSTITUTING SOME VEGETABLES FOR SWEETS. IT SOUNDS INTERESTING AND I PLAN TO TRY IT.

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

stress and things not going according to plan or unexpected things happening is my biggest trigger. Good for you getting rid of the candy. I don't have any in the house either, but the other day my mom brought some chocolate wafers over (for the kids emoticon ) and I had lots of those. Another huge thing I need to avoid aside from all things chocolate is ice cream. And the third is dairy products as they often contain sugar.

You have made some awesome progress. I think I need a repeat on week 2!

Feeling really good about this week. The last of the candy from my desk finally disappeared yesterday, I was successful in my challenge to myself with letting it sit there in front of me and not touch it. Today my boss brought in a dozen donuts for everyone and I left them alone, and then someone just came around trying to get rid of home made cookies (that did look really good) and I politely declined. I have not had any sweets this week! emoticon

So, most of the candy was gone on Tuesday when I put it out, there is 1 Peep left and a handful of Jelly beans. I have been very good and not had a single piece! And since they are within my constant reach and view I consider that pretty good. I have also done very well at home, it has been a long and stressful week but I have stayed away from sweets!

I am testing myself today, I brought all of the candy from my house into work, I was going to leave it in the break room but decided since so many people walk by my desk every day I would just leave it on the counter...I can still see it but I refuse to eat any of it!! People have already started taking some of it, and I am encouraging people to take it when they say something about it. If it is not gone by lunch I will put it in the break room so people will take it home.

Today is day 1 of week 2. I have learned that stress is generally my sweet tooth trigger. That and when I just want a small snack candies are an easy 'fix'. I will be bringing what I have left at the house into work and leaving it in the break room to eliminate the opportunity at home, and a plus is I hardly ever go into the break room. I will buy more fruits and yogurts, (making sure I look at the added sugars in yogurts) in my grocery shopping this week. I have been doing good with my extra sweet coffee in the morning, adding sugar free creamer and Splenda instead of sugar.
