Great share 1LAZYSUSAN...1.5 weeks without emoticon emoticon

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

I've been doing well on this "sugar detox". Then Friday, I went out to coffee with a friend and (since I don't actually drink coffee) I had my normal dark hot chocolate. It was delicious! And I think I appreciated it more since it was the first sugary treat I'd allowed myself in 1.5 weeks. But the rest of the day I craved more sugar. I thought constantly about the cookies lurking in the cookie jar, or adding a few chocolate chips to my afternoon raw nut snack. I never did succumb, but the cravings were strong! It was very interesting to see how just one sugary treat set off a chain reaction of cravings. Before this challenge, I would definitely have eaten cookies AND chocolate chips and who know what else! Thanks for giving me the incentive to stay strong!

Want ice cream soooooooooo bad. I don't have any in the house, and I'm not going to go get any, but I keep thinking about it.

One day at a time.

emoticon PEANUT-M-MS! Don't be so hard on yourself. Take a look at your numbers for the week. If your average numbers are within range, then there is still reason to celebrate!

Was doing great today, eating all the right things, and planning a well balanced supper. OOPS! Spotted a dish with 5 Lindt Chocolate balls in it. Had 3 of them popped into my mouth before I'd given it a second thought. I had eaten so sensibly until then that I won't go over my calorie limit for the day, but I'm sure that was the instant I should have thrown in my substitute for a TRIGGER. Too late now. I'll hide the remaining two. If I get really desparate, I can always hunt them down like the alcoholic did in the movie "Lost Weekend".
