Boredom is my biggest trigger. I'll snack all night, but I've recognized it and I'm starting to do cross word puzzles to keep my mind occupied. During the day I'm starting to get rid of clutter and spending more time outdoors with the dog and playing with her.
Boredom is a huge one for me to. I fidget so much eating always kept me busy while watching tv. Stress from emotions (argument w/ kids, frustrated w/ work) It was always my release. Once I really recognized what I was doing it helped.
When I'm doing well and eating well, my nails are always at their best. I polish and paint them a lot because I can't eat with wet nails. I do my nails when I watch tv now.
If you don't love yourself....how can you expect others to.
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.
Mistakes are the portals of discovery.
Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.
It is never too late to be what you might have been.
I find that stress is my biggest trigger, too. Thank you for your awesome suggestions on how to tame the "stress trigger." I have a tendency to just lose myself in an online game and eat carbs. I am also going to check out "Orange Rhino." Thanks, again, Kathy

Great thoughts. My triggers are very similar, and my best ways of coping (finding something to keep me busy, walking/exercising) are similar also. When the outdoor weather is not cooperative, I go indoors. Thankfully, there is a large shopping mall fairly close, which has walkers at all times of the day getting their exercise in a climate controlled environment. Don't know about walking around "muttering Orange Rhino".

Stress is a huge trigger for me; if I start to feel stressed out, or overwhelmed I always go raid the cabinet for something sweet. I have been following a blog on Facebook, and online called Orange Rhino, and she has some amazing tricks on how to keep calm so have been practicing them. I get strange looks when I walk around muttering Orange Rhino, but it works..
Boredom is another huge trigger for me, though usually only a problem when I am off during the summer. I have been doing lots of crafts and reading a great deal to help me stave off boredom. Another goal of mine to fight off boredom and stress is walking, I just need the climate in my area to cooperate.. 100 plus degree weather does not make good walking weather :)
