I have started the Low Glycemic Index Diet also. I have some new health problems that I wouldn't have had if I had done this years ago. My sweet tooth is nagging at me everyday. The transition is challenging for me.
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.
Mistakes are the portals of discovery.
Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.
It is never too late to be what you might have been.

You go, Lori! I'm starting week 2 today also. My goal is to move more into a low Glycemic Index diet this week. I'm also going on a hunt for the hidden sugar that has moved back into my life, and find substitutes for those items.

My plan for this week is to go without ice cream and the Daily's Bahama Mama I usually have on Sunday evening. Those are the two things that I eat/drink that have high amounts of sugar. If I feel the need for something sweet, it has to be a small amount of fruit. It will be a challenge, but I can do it!
