I never realized how much sugar treats had a hold on me until yesterday. I have been stressed all week (more than usual), it was late in the evening, and it was just there. I cannot just have one sugar treat. After the first I think "Oh, what is one more and one more and...". I eat until my stomach feels full (not a good thing). Then I feel guilty. I recognize that this is a big problem for me. I am glad that I read the article on hidden sugars. Some of these foods are daily staples in my home. Now that I know I will make sure to leave them on the grocery shelf at the store. I am trying peppermint tea tonight. Wish me luck!!

Wow, I am so grateful for this challenge. I am going to avoid coffee and regular tea's because I add cream and sugar. Because I do enjoy hot beverages I will switch to herbal teas, which I don't add anything to. And this week I will keep examining my diet, but I'm going to be looking at my sugar intake within bread products and see what's going on there. Have a great week everybody!
